Whitney Worship Desktop Themes

  1. This will only work for Windows 95 and Windows 98 users. Sorry to users with Macintosh or other Windows platforms!

  2. What is a Desktop Theme??? If you don't know, find out.

  3. Your graphics card must support icons of 256 colors of higher. You may have to set your display properties (Start —> Settings —> Control Panel —> Display —> Settings). "True Color" graphics (or higher) is necessary.

  4. Get WinZip in order to unzip the theme files (free software available at www.winzip.com). Installation instructions for Winzip are at www.winzip.com.

  5. If you don't have "Microsoft Plus!" or "Microsoft Plus! 98" on your PC, then you will have to download a "Themes Installation" program (it's FREE here). This is to install the Whitney Worship Desktop Theme.

  6. Now you can download the Whitney Worship Desktop Theme of your choice. (Right now, there are only TWO choices: the "My Love Is Your Love" theme and the "Bodyguard Strk" theme.) Take a peak at what the MLIYL Theme looks like; what the BG Strk Theme looks like.

  7. Download the MLIYL theme or the BG theme.

  8. Open up WinZip to unzip the file you just downloaded. You should save the «.theme» files in the following directory:   
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\PLUS!\THEMES\

  9. Then use your "Theme Installation" program to install the new theme. The easiest way is to double click on "mliyl.theme". (If that doesn't work, try to right click on "mliyl.theme" and pick the appropriate tab in the pop-up menu.)

  10. After the new theme is installed, you may be prompted to reboot your computer in order to save the changes.

  11. If you have any questions, check the Themes FAQ and the Installation FAQ; FAQ Install (2).

  12. If you are computer-phobic, ask someone to help you. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to install all the components -- even for novice users.

  13. Unfortunately, Lisa is not available for one-on-one technical help. Have fun!
