Whitney Returns To Stage After Throat Problems Cause Cancellations submitted by: Arunesh source: MTV News date: July 9, 1999
After throat problems plagued Whitney Houston over the 4th of July weekend, the singer returned to the stage in Boston Wednesday night. Houston missed two performances in Newark, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. over the weekend and spoke about her throat troubles with MTV News before taking the stage Wednesday. "I'm fine thank God," Houston told MTV News. "I got that singer's thing where cords get so swollen and they won't take a break. I was beating it out, kind of like, back-to-back kind of things, you know. So I just took four, three, four days [off]." [RealVideo] Whitney and opening act 112 will once again take the stage in Boston Thursday night. MTV's "All-Access Week" will take a closer look at Houston's tour as part of a special that debuts on July 22 at 4:30 p.m. If you'd rather see Whitney in the flesh,
go to one of her concerts!
