The Whitney Houston World Tour '99 will commence in the U.S. with a 15 city nationwide tour beginning in Chicago IL on June 22. This is the superstar'sfirst U.S. concert tour in five years.

Houston will be performing new songs from her latest album My Love Is Your Love as well as many of her classic hits. My Love Is Your Love has already been certified 5X Platinum worldwide and produced a #1 hit single "Heartbreak Hotel." The European chart topping hit, "It's Not Right But It's Ok," has already been released in the U.S. with impressive results.

A string of high-profile live performance by the superstar songstress following the releas of her album has fueled anticipation for a tour. Among them were a show-stopping turn of "The Brits" awards show in the U.K. In February, a performance at the Acedemy Awards and a headlining performance of VH-1's "Divas Live/99 which garnered rave reviews (including The New York Times which characterized Whitney's performance as "invincible").
