Big Chill submitted by: Lisa D. date: Jan. 11, 1999 source: New York Post You can't count on the weather, as Whitney Houston learned on the Florida shoot for her new "Heartbreak Hotel" video. "Are you sure this is Miami?" she laughed as temperatures plummeted at Opa Locka Airport, where a section of the airstrip was cordoned off for the hush-hush shoot with fellow singers Kelly Price and Faith Evans.
Producers picked the Sunshine State for its warm weather, The Post's Malcolm Balfour reports. "Who'd have guessed the temperature would drop into the 40s - we could have shot this in New Jersey," griped one grip. Whitney's lips trembled with cold during the filming. One scene called for her white Rolls convertible to approach a jet through a cloud of mist. But 40-mile-an-hour winds blew the fake smoke away the second it came out of the smoke-maker.
