Hey Fred,
Like many others, I am very surprised and disappointed by the lack of chart success for Whitney Houston's latest CD, "My Love Is Your Love." Is it going to go back up the chart? Whitney has never had an album or soundtrack not make it into the top three!! Could this be the one to break the Houston tradition?

I have a Web site dedicated to Whitney entitled "Whitney Houston -- The All Round Entertainer" (http://www.beyond.net.au/whweb)

Should I give up on the biggest-selling female artist in history?
Thanks,
Wes Horton

Dear Wes,
I think it's too early to give up on Houston, and her latest album. It's true that it hasn't performed to expectations yet -- in fact, so far its peak position on The Billboard 200 is No. 13, its debut position (this week it moves 26-23). A smash hit single could lift the album back up, but so could television appearances. Perhaps her spot on "The American Music Awards" on Jan. 11 will have an affect on album sales -- appearances on the Billboard Awards, the AMAs, and the Grammys tend to do that.
