CLIVE DAVIS, ARISTA RECORDS FOUNDER TO BE HONOURED submitted by: Seng Soon Y. date: November 20/98 source: www.theenews.com One of the music industries most legendary moguls, Clive Davis, will be honored by the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Davis will be recognized for his humanitarian efforts on Monday, November 30th at Winter Garden in New York City. Whitney Houston will perform at the event as well as several other Arista Records artists. Davis has donated over $300 million to AIDS charities over the past 15 years. Davis has received Humanitarian honors from the Anti-Defamation League, The City of Hope, TJ Martell Foundation, American Cancer Society and Gay Men's Health Crisis.
This year Arista Records is celebrating it's best
year ever. Davis is well known as the king of
contemporary pop having introduced the world to
new acts like Monica, Next, Sarah McLachlan,
Deborah Cox and Five.
