Whitney Houston to Make Rare Public Appearance at Virgin Mega Store in Times Square on Nov. 19

NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Nov. 13, 1998--

Whitney Houston will make a rare public appearance the week of her highly anticipated album release.

Houston will sign copies of her new album, "My Love Is Your Love", for fans at the Virgin Mega Store in Times Square, New York, on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. This event is the first of its kind for Whitney.

Prior to the record store appearance she can be seen live on MTV (4 p.m.-4:30 p.m. EST) during a special half-hour segment titled "Whitney TV."

Houston's forth studio album, "My Love Is Your Love," will be released worldwide on Nov. 17. The top record producers in the business -- Wyclef Jean, Babyface, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, David Foster, Rodney Jerkins and Soulshock & Karlin -- have all contributed to this landmark album.

The anticipation of this release is evident based on the retail pre-orders for the album to date. Advance orders for the album exceed 1.75 million units, the most for any Whitney Houston project in history.

Some of Whitney Houston's upcoming television appearances include MTV's "Whitney TV" (Nov. 19), "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" (Nov. 23), the "Oprah" show (Nov. 25), "The Prince of Egypt Special" (Dec. 13) and "Saturday Night Live" (Jan. 16).
