MTV: Music Television Celebrates Music's Biggest Week Ever November 16th - 20th

Superstars Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Jewel, Metallica and Puff Daddy Set to Visit MTV's Times Square Studio during "Spankin' New Music Week"

MTV to World Premiere a New Video Every Day During Total Request Live

MTV: MUSIC TELEVISION announced today that November 16-20 will be "Spankin' New Music Week" to celebrate one of the biggest album release weeks in music history. During this week, Superstars such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Jewel, Metallica and Puff Daddy will stop by MTV's Times Square Studio; "Total Request Live" will world premiere a new video each day and the channel will air specials that highlight the new music being played on MTV. Each of the five superstars will appear on an artist special airing live each day at 4:30 PM (ET/tape delay PT) to talk with fans about their new albums and in some cases, to perform in MTV's Times Square Studio.

Mariah Carey will kick off the week on Monday, November 16, with "Mariah TV". Her album will be released on November 17th and features her thirteen No. 1 singles and 4 new songs, including "When You Believe," a duet with Whitney Houston. The video for the new single will also premiere Monday, November 16 on MTV.

On Thursday, November 19, Whitney Houston, who has sold over 100 million albums in her career, will visit MTV's Times Square Studio for "Whitney Houston TV." My Love Is Your Love is Whitney's first studio album in 8 years and will be released on November 17th. During the show, Whitney will talk with fans, and her show may also include some surprise guests from this album.

During November, MTV will also highlight the tremendous amount of new music being released this month, which is the start of the biggest selling season for the record industry. During the weekend of November 14, MTV will highlight the latest videos on the channel, including songs by Jewel, Will Smith, REM, Alanis Morissette, R Kelly & Celine Dion, Jay-Z, Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey and many others.

During the week of November 16th, MTV will premiere videos from 'N Sync, Metallica, Busta Rhymes, Spice Girls and Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey.
