Went to a few of those pretentious Hollywood Hills parties for the holiday. (I know. Redundant.)
You know the score: heated waterfalls gushing into a heated pool surrounded by fragrant green everything. Catered eats. Blended drinks. And over in some corner, the ubiquitous whirlpool, which also flows into the pool. (And sometimes takes an overly margarita-ed guest along with it.)
The following got spilled along with the water:
Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey will, together, sing the title song to DreamWorks' first animated feature: the much hyped Prince of Egypt. Expect fireworks.
In anticipation of the two gals igniting blazes--Mariah is notorious for making room only for her hair, while Whitney is simply "unpredictable" these days--execs at the Little Studio That Could have arranged for the ladies to record their patter separately. (That is, just as soon as Mariah "finishes working out some details," says a DreamWorks source. Catered hairspray, no doubt.)
Hmmm... sorta sounds like all those "duets" Frank did with every pop singer in the biz. Also:
- Whitney is in "great shape."
- Whitney is in "bad shape."
(I think the lady--whose entourage ego is outta control these days she's got so many ladies-in-waiting--is somewhere in between.)
- Ted Casablanca.
