Hello, Rachel:

Boy, you have some influence over Whitney Houston fans. I was deluged by mail after putting Mariah Carey's name in front of her's when mentioning their "Prince of Egypt" duet. I went to your website and saw your call to arms.

Anyway, rest assured that I was not implying that Mariah is any better than Houston, or vice versa. I only put them in that order because I went alphabetically, which is the rule of thumb around here. After all, if I had put Whitney's name first, I would have gotten a ton of mail from someone named rachel@mariah-fan.com, and I'd be right back where I started from. So please don't take it as a personal affront to Whitney.
