WH Duet with Mariah Carey submitted by: BlackAtlantic date: Friday, August 07, 1998 from: HOT 97 FM, NYC radio I guess Whitney and Mariah are stilling working on their duet to be released later this year. A top New York radio station, HOT 97 FM, just announced that the two divas are in the studio today. Contrary to earlier reports that the singers would be recording their tracks separately, the report implied that the are in the studio together. The announcer jokingly said that a New York studio had never yet been inhabited by such power. Also, if memory serves me correctly, he reported that the song's title is "If You Believe."
I think that the recording schedule may have been
extended to accomodate Whitney. My source tells
me that she cancelled a recording schedule that
was to have happened last Saturday. If the radio
report is accurate, the recording is back on
track. the radio announcer could barely conceal
his own exciting about the duet. That combined
with the recent speculation in Billboard Online
Chart Beat suggests that the buzz about the duet
will be huge.
