It was written on the Internet that Whitney Houston wasn't too friendly while at the awards. She basically flew in and flew out. You know, Whitney hasn't been showing up for many things lately, but her folks told me she wanted to attend the Trumpet Awards because it celebrated her for her humanitarianism and not just her music.

It was written that she refused to take pictures, well that's kind of true. But she asked Marilyn Crawford, who was the event's publicist, what press she wanted Whitney to do. Marilyn definitely wanted Whitney to do CNN. So, while Whitney was being interviewed by CNN, it was CNN personnel who stopped a newspaper reporter from taking Whitney's picture during her interview. Whitney had nothing to do with that. There were even rumors that she didn't speak to the hostess of the show, Gladys Knight. Some of the volunteers swear to this. However, eventually Whitney did greet and hug Gladys backstage.

Whitney spoke to Babyface's wife Tracey and also said hello to Jane Fonda, Ted Turner and Time Warner's CEO, Jerry Levin. They were the grand hosts of the events. Whitney even gave *me* a kiss.

But that's not all, folks. The Internet told the lie that Whitney wore a sweater suit to a black-tie affair. Not true. She had on a beautiful one-of-a-kind black Versace suit that had Chinese symbols on the side. I wish I had it.

Here's the last: It was reported that Whitney's husband, Bobby Brown, was arrested while they were in Atlanta for the awards. He wasn't even in Georgia!! Of course we all know now that Bobby was sentenced a few weeks later to five days in jail for the auto accident he had two years ago. He wrecked their car, broke his foot and the verdict said he drove under the influence.

Right now Whitney is taking some time off and just regrouping. She's not even working on her next album, yet.
