DC Talks About WH submitted by: Lopez source: Ssiter 2 Sister Magasine Date: Nov. 20, 1998 There is an interview with Jamie Foxx and Deborah Cox. She asked her about the high expectations about her first album, the disappointing sales and the comparison to Whitney Houston. She had nothing but the highest praise for Whitney. She said that she had always been a fan, still is and will always be. She said that she had all her cds. She also said that growing up in Canada, there isn't really any R&B stations and only heard Stevie wonder, Gladys Knight and Bob Marley from her parents. She said that when Whitney burst on the scene she took notice because of her huge voice singing inspiring music. She said Whitney was her inspiration and that she met her twice. She said that she was in awe of her and that she told her'don't listen to what the press say, do your own thing'.She said she was so touched that all she could do was whisper thank you. She said Whitney has only been anything but nice to her.
(Another singer who Whitney has touched or inspired. This is so evident, listen to her 1st cd-almost a carbon copy)
