AOL News: Singer Houston Hurt on Vacation

CAPRI, Italy (AP) - Singer-actress Whitney Houston suffered a
cut on her face while vacationing off the island of Capri, and
police said today they were investigating.
Houston was brought to Capri's Capilupi hospital on Monday with
a small but deep cut on her left cheek, police said. The Milan
daily Corriere della Sera said she was crying, and received two
stitches.
Houston is touring the Mediterranean on a yacht with her
husband, singer Bobby Brown, and friends.
Police said conflicting accounts of how Houston was cut prompted
them to investigate.
Houston told them she hurt herself by hitting a rock while
swimming, while a member of the yacht's crew reported Houston was
cut while on the boat, according to a paramilitary police officer.
While the couple was in Honolulu last June, witnesses said Brown
slapped Houston during an argument in a shopping mall. Houston
refused to cooperate with an investigation, police said, and her
publicist later said it was a case of mistaken identity.
