I was believing it even. Good thing. I also found this article that can further more prove it was a false rumor and funny this is from Cybersleaze, the internet version of tabloids!

Singers WHITNEY HOUSTON and BOBBY BROWN left Hawaii yesterday refusing to comment on reports that Brown slapped his wife in a parking lot. Witnesses at Kahala Mall in Honolulu told police they saw Brown get out of a limousine with a beer in on hand before slapping Houston in her face as she left the car on Sunday morning. Houston was heard screaming for help as the couple then got back in the limo and argued for about 10 minutes more before driving off. Mall manager RON YODA told Honolulu TV station KHON-2 that mall security asked if assistance was required and was told by the couple the situation was under control. However, today a spokeswoman for Houston has issued a statement denying that the singer was involved in a fight with Brown in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Honolulu. She insists it was Whitney's sister-in-law DONNA HOUSTON who had the argument with Brown while in a limousine at the mall. Police have now closed their investigation into the incident because they claim Whitney refused to cooperate. Donna has also said she suffered no injuries. Whitney and Brown left Honolulu quietly yesterday.
