COLUMBIA TO RELEASE SUPERSTAR COMMEMORATIVE ALBUM TO BENEFIT THE DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES MEMORIAL FUNDColumbia Records will release Diana, Princess Of Wales: Tribute, a two-CD collection of new and special material by the world's superstar recording artists, on December 2 in the U.S.. This special worldwide release, a music industry collaboration between all the major record companies and top international artists, will benefit The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. Lady Sarah McCorquodale, one of the Princess of Wales' sisters and a Trustee of The Fund, said, "As a family, we are all delighted and greatly moved by the kindness and generosity of so many distinguished artists in contributing to this unique album. So much time and energy has been given by people across the music industry, to whom the Trustees also extend their thanks. I very much hope that this album will give as much pleasure to those who buy it, as comfort to the charitable causes which will ultimately benefit." The collaborative nature of this special album is reflected in the Red Hot All Stars' "Every Nation," written and produced by R. Kelly. The track features Lauryn Hill of The Fugees, Mary J. Blige, Tony Rich, Gerald Levert of the O'Jay's, Monica, and SWV, with a chorus including Montel Jordan, Dru Hill, Total, Zhane, 112, Curtis Mayfield, Faith Evans, Case, Mona Lisa, and Monifah.
