The elderly Durant sued Whitney Houston's hot tempered hubby in 1993, saying he'd reneged on a promise to do a Trinidad concert - then refused to return the $30,000 Durant had paid him. The duo squared off in court yesterday morning, and Brown settled during the first recess. Neither side is saying what Durant - who sought more than $1 million - was paid. But her lawyers blasted, "$30,000 is lunch money for Whitney Houston's entourage - but it is Althea's life life savings." The shame of it is they stubbornly refuse to return the money and make her struggle for all these years!" Brown's lawyer couldn't be reached for comment.
