Whitney Houston looks forward to performing in Russia

MOSCOW, January 5 -- Whitney Houston, the holder of six Grammy awards, looks forward to singing in Russia where she will give concerts in early February. Those who arranged her guest performances told Tass on Monday she is very glad to have the opportunity to meet her fans. She will perform in St Petersburg, on February 8, and in Moscow, in the State Kremlin Palace, on February 10 and 11.
Houston planned her guest performances in Russia a few years back but her arrival in Russia was put off again and again because of the instability of the situation in the country and the singer's health problems. The organizers of the concerts say the singer is going to meet her fans and also to go sightseeing in Moscow and St Petersburg and to visit museums. A group of 60 will accompany the singer and bring along an impressive show. Houston will present her new programme.
Houston is also known in Russia as a film actress. Her role in the film "The Bodyguard" brought her cinematic awards. Bodyguard album topped the records sales.
