WHITNEY'S 911 CALL

The ET Insider broke the news Tuesday that North Fulton County Police were called to the suburban Atlanta home of WHITNEY HOUSTON and BOBBY BROWN over the weekend on complaints of a domestic altercation.

ET has now obtained the short 911 call to police. Watch tonight's show for the full story and phone call.

The Insider has also obtained the police report that states officers who responded to the call, Sunday at 8:30 p.m., confirmed they observed Whitney with a bruise on her left cheek and a cut on her upper lip.

The official report read: "Upon arriving on the scene, the victim advised that at approximately 20:20 hours she returned to the listed location and was confronted by the suspect. She further advised that Mr. Brown stated he was going to "beat her a$$" and then struck the left side of her face with an open right hand. The victim had visible injuries to her face, which included a bruise on her left cheek approximately one inch in diameter and a cut upper-lip (on the inner, upper left portion of her mouth). The victim further advised that Mr. Brown left the location at approximately 20:25 hours for the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport for a flight to Los Angeles. A victim rights pamphlet was issued."

ET has confirmed the incident through Whitney's spokesperson, however neither Whitney nor Bobby were available for comment. No charges against Brown have been filed as of yet as police continue to investigate the incident.

Bruised Whitney Houston Calls Police After Alleged Altercation With Bobby Brown

Police are looking to speak to Bobby Brown after a weekend altercation that left wife Whitney Houston with a cut lip and bruises on her face.

Fulton County Police arrived at the couple's home in Alpharetta, Georgia, at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday after Houston called to report a domestic dispute. "Ms. Houston called and stated her address and asked for someone to be sent out, but did not identify herself," said Corporal Kurtis Young, spokesperson for the Fulton County Police Department. "She wasn't hysterical or anything, she was very calm."

When police arrived, the pop diva told officers that she and Brown had a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation, which ended with Brown hitting her on the left side of her face with an open hand. The officer who responded noted a bruise on Houston's cheek and a cut on the inside of her upper lip, Young said. Houston did not specify whether she struck Brown in response or what precipitated the incident.

Brown had boarded a flight for Los Angeles by the time police arrived and they are still trying to track him down to get his version of events. Police did not know if the West Coast trip was previously planned.

"Ms. Houston was very cooperative with her initial statement and she continues to cooperate in the investigation," Young said, noting that police filed a report, but that Houston has not filed charges. Because the incident is under investigation as an alleged act of domestic violence, officials could file charges against Brown whether or not Houston chooses to file charges herself, Young said.

Brown served seven days in DeKalb County Jail in August for a probation violation from a 1996 drunk-driving conviction.

A spokesperson for Houston could not be reached for comment.

Police report: Whitney Houston had one-inch cheek bruise after encounter with Bobby Brown

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Pop singer Whitney Houston had a one-inch bruise on her cheek and a cut upper lip when police arrived at her home Sunday night, according to a police report.

Houston told police that her husband, Bobby Brown, beat her after he "confronted" her when she returned home that evening. Police were still considering whether to pursue charges against Brown, 34, on Wednesday. No one was arrested in the incident.

Fulton County District Attorney spokesman Erik Friedly said the case had not been turned over to the office Wednesday. "I don't know what the situation is," he said.

Houston told police that Brown hit the left side of her face with an open right hand. He then went to the airport for a flight to Los Angeles, the Fulton County Police report said.

The 40-year-old Houston then contacted police, police said.

Police said they were trying to reach Brown to get his side of the story.

Brown was released after serving seven days in DeKalb County Jail in August for violating his probation for a 1996 drunken driving conviction.

He also served 26 days in a Florida jail in 2000 for an earlier probation violation.
