Bobby Talks About Whitney In 'Extra' Interview submitted by: Lisa D. source: Extra Date: September 9, 2002 Say howdy to cowboy Bobby Brown, shooting from the lip about everything from his own notoriety to his controversial marriage to Whitney Houston. "Extra" came face-to-face with bad, bad Bobby Brown during the making of "Guns and Roses," a big-screen western with a bizarre hip-hop twist. Bobby plays the lone male bandit among an all-woman band of gorgeous gunslingers, including rapper Lil’ Kim, and being a real life outlaw is something this notorious hell raiser knows all about. He says, "I finished my time. I just want to be with my family." And on the set of his new movie, Bobby went out of his way to set the record straight on him and his wife of ten years, Whitney Houston. Now 33, a contrite Bobby admits the marriage has had its volatile moments. He says, "We love hard and we fight hard." But he says he and 39-year-old Whitney are literally as solid as a rock. He says, "You can't break a diamond, and that's what our love is. A diamond." Bobby scoffs at persistent gossip about drug problems rumored to have taken their toll on Whitney’s health. He says, "We're still together and all the rest of the bull and the madness, it doesn't matter to us." In fact, he insists they've never felt better. He says, "I'm in very good condition, my wife is in tip-top shape, beautiful as ever. Her voice is even better now than it was when she was 18." And Bobby says each of them is launching concert tours later this year. Apparently they are still making sweet music together. Site design by: Dolphin Webpage Designs © 1996-2002 |
