Dear Lisa,
I am very sorry that the New York Post used parts of my review in their
article. I sent them an email after the first article was written stating
it was not true. But due to the latest development I sent them the following
email:
Dear Mr. Johnson, Ms. Froelich, and others to whom it may concern at the
New York Post:
My name is Daniel L**** (AirTranDan), founder of the Whitney Houston club
on Yahoo!. In a recent Page Six article you wrote the following, "Shame
on Whitney for scheduling two shows on consecutive days," wrote AirTranDan
of Philadelphia. "And shame on me for spending $200 and having a dreadful
time. This will be the last Whitney concert I will go to."
That is what I said. However, you failed to quote other parts of my review
such as the fact that Whitney Houston did hit some beautiful notes. I
will state that Whitney Houston did, I repeat, did finish all of her songs
and did not sing either the Star Spangled Banner nor American Pie. I will
state again that I will never again go to a Whitney Houston concert at
a casino nor on a day after another show, but Whitney Houston is still
and always will be the greatest female vocalist of our time in my opinion.
I am very sorry you wrote what you did about what I said. I wrote that
in my club, expressing my disappointment about the concert. I did not
think sections would be published by the New York Post. I do think you
owe both Whitney Houston and me an apology.
Sincerely,
Daniel L****
I hope this helps to set the record straight. Please let all the other
Whitney fans who visit your site know that I still love and support Whitney
and that the Post used my comments for their underhanded purposes and
I had nothing to do with that.
