WHITNEY FANS DENY CONCERT DISASTER

Fans of troubled diva, Whitney Houston, have inundated dotmusic with email following today's earlier story about her recent concert performance. Typical of the comments from fans are those from Nikesh Patel: "Whitney didn't do any covers... Whitney didn't sing 'American Pie'," says Nikesh, before adding rather ungraciously. "She isnt Madonna, she does have talent.

"Whitney looked gorgeous, and wasn't on drugs. Whitney didn't forget any words in her show, and Bobby Brown isnt languishing in prison, if you had your facts correct, you'll know he was released yesterday." Never let it be said that dotmusic doesn't bring you both sides of a story.

Dotmusic's original story, with a change regarding Bobby Brown:

'I WILL ALWAYS…….ERR….'

Whitney Houston's increasingly erratic behavior culminated in a disastrous live show earlier this week, when the international superstar stumbled comically through a set in the US.

Whitney reportedly stopped continuously in the New Jersey show, forgetting the words to about ten songs.

Other tracks, including the worldwide smash 'I Will Always Love You', were aborted after her voice refused to meet the high notes.

'I'm not singing this song,' she declared. 'My voice isn't up to it.'

The only tracks said to have been truly successful were covers, with a reworking of 'The Star Spangled Banner' and 'American Pie' apparently going down well.

Meanwhile, Whtiney's husband Bobby Brown has been released from prison in Florida 10 days early.

The bad boy singer was sentenced to 75 days incarceration in June for several parole violations. 'The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel' reported that Brown had been freed early due to "good behaviour".

Brown told reporters: "I just want to be with my family and my friends. I'm going home to spend the summer with my kids and work on my life."
