Along with The Artist, pop diva Whitney Houston will also be honored with the special award of Artist of the Decade at the 14th annual Soul Train Music Awards on March 4 in Los Angeles.

The Artist's honors for Male Artist of the Decade was announced last week when the nominations for the awards were revealed (allstar, Feb. 11). But, Houston's honors for Female Artist of the Decade were just announced Thursday (Feb. 17) by producer Don Cornelius.

As previously announced, Houston is also up for Best R&B/Soul Single, Female for "My Love Is Your Love" and Best R&B/Soul Album, Female for the album of the same name.
