Ebony Magazine, Dec/98 issue. It was a rather lenghtly article so I will try to be concise.

The cover picture is the one that you have, it can also be seen at the Arista site. It is the one with her sitting down, in the pink, lacy shirt. Her hair is black and is in a short page. Rather fresh and cute. The interview was done at her NJ estate. It talks about Missy coming over to produce one of the songs for MLIYL and how Missy and Whitney warmly embrace even though it was their first meeting.

Whitney, even got in her porsche and took her over to her main house to meet Bobbi Kris. She talks about how she went in the studio to sing WYB that she did not even know the lyrics. She said Face "I ain't know nothing" but that it was no biggie. Her and face go way back, they are like brother and sister and once they work together it only takes a few hours for things to click. She said that she met Mariah in the studio for the first time and that she really likes her.

She said their is no bad feelings or feud. She even speculated on them doing future projects together and commented that Mariah was a smart girl. The interviewer asked how would Bobby describes her and she said 'busy or a busybody'. She said that 'Better Place Productions', her record label per se will be putting out their first group called 'Sunday'. She said that her good friend Robin Crawford discovered them and they will have something out next spring. She also said that Bobby will be producing their first video through her production company 'BrownHouse'. Her company will also be producing a movie about the first black little league team in Atlanta.

The interviewer asked about her relationship with Bobby and about rumored break-ups and problems. She spoke at lenght on this subject. Basically, she said that they were separated for about a month in 1997 and that there was a lot of stress and stuff going on. She decided that they needed to be a part for a while. She also said that Bobby had to court her to get her back and that people don't understand Bobby. She said that he is a gentleman to her and a very sensitive man.

She said that a lot of people wonder why she is with Bobby and that one day she will talk about it. She also spoke about the momentous occasion of Bobbi Kris starting her 1st day at school. She said that she will take her there about 7am and will stay until BK feels comfortable. They asked her how does she keep it all together; being famous, a mother/daughter/wife, performer/artist/singer/actress and all of her appearances. She said that she is grounded by faith and God keeps her. They had several more pictures ; one of her and Bobby cutting the cake at her BD bash-very nice, one of her mother- cissy, singing happy BD to her, a picture of Bobby, Bobbi Kris and her at the IAA awards.
