A Fan's Account: Greatest Hits CD Release Party

The music was booming! The first thing that made me feel right at home was when we arrived in the parking lot. As me and my friends were getting ready to go in, all the cars circling the lot looking for a space had in some form, old or new, fast or slow, original version or remixed Whitney spilling from their cars. (Loved it.)

Then when we got in it was great, good energy, people walking around with anticipation. I'd say at around 11:00 the D.J. announced that they had posters and free CDs to give away and the crowd went wild. Then all of a sudden the seven or eight TVs they had surrounding the club flashed (Arista) then Whitney, It was the new video -- while that was playing and her interviews and videos played, they flashed huge pictures of Whitney, like on the 4 LP box set cover. They were huge, covering from floor to ceiling practically. There were about four of these around the club. It looked cool.

Then the music started to change. They had some pretty good music playing and I'd say there were about 30 people on the dance floor. Then the remix version of ILFTB came on and the crowd went crazy, as the Whitney hungry people scrambled quickly to secure a spot on the quick-filling dance floor. It was beautiful. (You'd have thought they never heard the song before.)

So, later that night the D.J.'s announced that they were going to start giving away posters and CDs. Everyone crowded toward the front, including me and my friends, and they started throwing out posters and CDs. I managed to get three CDs and a poster. The CDs were all CIHTKF promos with three mixes:
1. Metro Radio Mix
2. Original version
3. Call out research hook.

The poster is about 18x25 inches and it's the same picture as the 4-LP box set cover.
