Swiss-Charts: "When You Believe" jumped from position 6 to 3!!! "My Love Is Your Love" dropped from position 7 to 9. In Switzerland, the press say it's the best Whitney-Houston-Album that's she ever made!!! (submitted by: Chris S.)

According to Billboard Online, a track by Boyz II Men will be the first commercial single released from the trio of albums for the new animated DreamWorks film "The Prince Of Egypt." The song, "I Will Get There," will street tomorrow on DreamWorks; the single will contain a new mix of the track, as well as the versions of it that appear on the movie's soundtrack and inspirational albums. More Good chart news from Australia. WYB has recieved a tremendous boost by the release of the POE film in Australia and jumps from #23 to #13 and I expect it in the top 10 next week. There is still a good chance of hitting. MLIYL is into the top 50 albums up four places to 48. (submitted by: Anton M.)

FINALLY, some good news from Australia. WYB has jumped up 4 places to #23 and has gone gold while MLIYL flies up #93 to #52 with a bullet. This is largely due to Christmas buying. Both CD's should recieve a big boost both in sales and airplay when the POE film is released in all cinemas on Dec. 26th. As for me I've already seen it twice in one of the selected cinemas. It's amazing!

P.S. On your website or though the mailing list could you please make it clear when a new single is released. In Australia singles are often released at a different time or in a different order and it would be nice to know when they are realeased in CAN & USA so I can follow thier progress and look out for them in Sydney stores. "When you belive" jumped from number 20 to number 16 on the Europe MTV "European top 20" On their web site, they put Whitney's name before Mariah's. (submitted by: Julian S.)

Australia Charts: "When You Believe" in its second week falls to 28 from 25! There has been minimal air play for some reason. The single is on sale though. MC's old stuff is getting lots of play and even Whitney is getting air play, but not the new single?? Whitney's album is still out of the Top 50. (submitted by: Kim L.)

WYB jumped from number 15 to number 7 on the "Euro hot 30" They said that this song will EXPLOSE the charts. (submitted by: Julian S.)

CNN Worldbeat compiles the Top 30 albums around the world each week. And for the week ending December 4, 1998, "My Love Is Your Love" is at #12 while Mariah Carey's "1s" is at #15. Since that Whitney's album is not selling well in the USA (the biggest music market on the planet), that would mean that Whitney's album is selling like hot cakes on the other parts of the world in order to reach #12. According to MTV Teletext, Chart Action: A pattern may very well be developing. A Nippy storm seems to be mooving across Europe. Only after being released for 1 1/2 weeks Nippy new CD, MLIYL, seems to be burning up the European Charts. Some of the most noteworthy chart positions are as follows:

According to MusikWoche (German Music Magazine) Whitney Houston has the highest debut of this week's German album charts. Whitney enters the charts at No. 11 with "My Love Is Your Love". Mariah Carey debuts at No. 15 with "#1's" and Jewel at No. 45 with "Spirit". (submitted by: Matthias W.)

According to GLF (the Official Swedish Saleschart) from DN - Swedens biggest morningpaper, Whitney entered the swedish albumchart with MLIYL at no 16, but please not that with just sales based on three days. Mariah Carey didn´t entered the Top 20 at all, despite a whole week sales. Her previous albums:

WH - no 1 in 1986 (for 12 weeks)

W - no 1 in 1987 (for 8 weeks)

IYBT - no 3 in 1990

TB - no 1 in 1992 (for 8 weeks)

WTE - no 20 in 1996

TPW - no 16 in 1996

According to Billboard Online, While it is true that Garth Brooks did sell 1,085,000 units of his "Live" album, he would not have broken the 1,061,000 one-week sales record of "The Bodyguard" had SoundScan not altered its collection methodology. Because there was a change in how sales data is delivered by by major music retailers, the Brooks numbers are that high. Without this change, Brooks would not have hit the 1 million mark. According to MusikWoche (German Music Magazine), the latest chart-info from Germany: "My Name Is Not Susan" was re-released this summer because of the European Tour. The single spent 9 weeks on the German TOP 100 Singles-Chart and peaked at No. 52. Here are the chart-positions from July 13 to September 7, 1998: 92, 73, 52, 55, 69, 85, 70, 81, 76.
