In the World Chart Show, Whitney's "Step By Step" is movin' up "leap by leap" and jumps up 3 more spots to No. 7 in only its 5th week. (submitted by: Rob N.)

In the World Chart Show, Whitney is moving up the chart in leaps and bounds. "Step By Step" debuted at No. 30 two weeks ago. Since then, it has moved up to No. 21 and lands at No. 14 this week. Look for it to enter the top ten next week. (submitted by: Rob N.)

On Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart, "The Preacher's Wife" soundtrack holds at No. 14 (issue date: February 22, 1997). Also on the February 15, 1997 broadcast of the World Chart Show, "Step By Step" leaps from No. 14 to No. 10 in its fourth week on the chart (I had predicted top ten status last week!!!). In the Billboard issue for the week ending February 15, 1997, "The Preacher's Wife" soundtrack tumbles from No. 9 to No. 14 in its 10th week on the Top R&B Albums chart. This is the first week that the album has fallen out of the top ten. However, with the release of "Step By Step", the album should have no problem bouncing back into the top ten.
