Five-day sentence for a drunken-driving

The Associated Press reports that bad boy Bobby Brown has checked in to the Broward County Jail in Florida to commence serving a five-day sentence for a drunken-driving conviction. The conviction stems from a 1996 incident in which the 31-year-old "My Prerogative" singer lost control while speeding in a black Porsche leased to wife Whitney Houston. He sustained four broken ribs in the accident. Appended to the jail term is a 12- month probation period, during which he must submit to random drug testing. Brown must also sponsor, produce, and appear in public-service television announcements about the evils of drug and alcohol use.
