Bobby Brown answers to Oprah
date: September /96
by: Rachel Decoste

In late September, 1996, the "reunited" members of New Edition went on the Oprah show to celebrate their reunion. Bobby Brown was there with his white cane. He explained that he got in a car accident and how it wasn't his fault that he lost control of the car.

As I recall, he cited sppeing as the main cause of the crash, and stated that he thank god he survived. Quote "I have the blood of Jesus all over me"... Yeah right!

In hinesight, I think most of his bar brawls were probably induced by drugs. So was that idiot comment of his when he dissed Babyface for being a poor song writer. (yeah, like Bobby can write songs!).

On the Oprah show, Bobby also talked about his stay at the Betty Ford Clinic, which is an addiction centre for the stars. Bobby said he went there to cope with his problem with alcohol. (he did not say anything about coccaine, mind you). He also said that part of the reason he started driking heavily was because of the bad press he was constantly having and how that made him feel bad. All I have to say to that is "If you kept your @ss our of trouble, then you wouldn't be in the press!".

It is pretty pathetic when a grown 'man' has to blame others for his own problems. Bobby had (has?) alot of money and he can afford to do anything he wants. He doesn't have to worry about getting up and going to work every day. All he should be thinking about is minding all those illegitimate children of his, instead of brawling in bars. There's a prescription for getting out of the bad press!

Bobby admitted going for treatement, and we know now that it wasn't just for alcohol abuse. This means that once Bobby went thru re-hab, he went BACK TO DRUGS! Does he ever learn?

Remember Whitney's "accident" on the yatch in Italy this past summer? Notice the cut on her face? Will, it is just the size of the wound a small blade would do. Say, the kind of blade coccaine-sniffers use to cut the coke cubes into small particles so they can get intoxicated. Draw your own conclusions.

Finally, I have no sympathy for people who can't take responsibility for themselves. Bobby isn't a kid anymore. He can't flash a smile to make people forget anymore. He is 30 years old! I think it's high time for him to grow up!
