Introducing Whitney Weekdays! Each day, this site will bring you up to five e-mail addresses of U.S. radio stations.
The goal: To e-mail each of the radio stations to request the song MLIYL.
All we each have to do is write a short, polite e-mail message. Then, e-mail the message separately to the radio stations of the day. The next day, there will be a new group of radio stations to target again with the same message. It should take maybe 5 minutes once we get the ball rolling! International fans can do this too! To kick off Whitney Weekdays, here are the first four:

If you haven't been hearing MLIYL on your local, big radio station, here's your chance to send a quick e-mail message to request that they add the song, or play it some more! MLIYL hits Top 10: The song moves up 2 places on the Hot 100 chart to #9. On the R&B Singles & Tracks chart, it slips 1 place to #3. There's still room to grow. More details soon...

According to a fan, who wishes to remain anonymous: The fans who paid for the "Meet and Greet" at the cancelled San Francisco concert received a personalized autographed picture from Whitney. It doesn't compare to meeting Whitney in person, but they did get something out of it. This fan received the personal autograph about a week ago.

According to Brazil's Veja São Paulo magazine, Whitney may perform in Brazil in March 2000 at Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil. If anyone can confirm this please e-mail the Nippy News. (Thanks Tacini)

Paris Concert to be televised? The French TV music chanels "MCM" and "M6" have recorded the Paris concert!!! They told my friend Alexandra that because of Whitney's popularity they will probably broadcast the concert soon!!! Also, Mary J. Blige was on a French show called "Nul part ailleurs" tonight. She talked about Whitney and Divas Live '99. She said it was an honor to sing with the fabulous Whitney Houston and that this show was one of the most important things of her career! (Thanks Julian)

And right now, we can vote for MLIYL at MTV. The song has slipped to #17 on the Total Request Live countdown for no apparent reason, even though the video is being played more often. Let's correct this!

Yesterday, there was countdown of the best songs of 90's on MTV Europe. I waited until the end of the 3-hour show and guess who was No. 1 ? Yes, our Whitney with "I Will Always Love You". It was certified best song of the decade by MTV! Isn't that great? (Thanks Sebastian)

In response to the News item about a Dance Version of Exhale: The singer's name is Rochelle and it was released around the same time that the Whitney version (non-dance) was released. (submitted by: Phil W.)

I was surprised to hear a dance version of "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" recently. I am not sure if it was a remake by another singer, or if they sped up Whitney's voice for the dance version. (submitted by Rachel D.) Has anyone heard anything about a new remix for Exhale? If yes, please e-mail the Nippy News.

The September 30th issue of Rolling Stone reports that as of August 15, "Heartbreak Hotel" sold approximately 1.34 million copies, making it the second greatest hit overall so far this year, just after Cher's "Believe." (submitted by: Tiffany P.)
What does this mean? "Heartbreak Hotel," as of one month ago, outsold every Number 1 Hot 100 single this year except one song, and so far is the Number 1 R&B Record of the Year. As of right now, it has an excellent chance of winning at this year's Billboard Awards, as well as other possibilities!
