According to The Record, Bergen County, NJ: Wednesday, July 14th - Concert Refunds. Refunds will now be issued for the Whitney Houston concert at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center that was canceled July 3 due to illness. Ticket holders were originally instructed to keep their tickets but the date could not be rescheduled this summer. Refunds can be obtained at the point of purchase. Howard Stern Radio Show: HOWARD DIGS WHITNEY!--Yesterday morning (7-14) on the Howard Stern show, he talked about how he knows all the Whitney Houston songs because his daughters listens to some radio station. He said he really liked the TP Remix of INRBIO and added that she looked really sexy in the video. He played some of the song and pointed out the part that he liked. But he complained when he wanted Ba Ba Booey to go buy the album so he could play the remix and was left with the album version. This WH conversation was interesting. The whole Howard Stern crew got involved. He then got a remix album with six different versions of INRBIO and played a bit of all of them. But none of those were the one that he liked. The crew was all listening and telling Howard that the remixes were the same as the radio version of the remix but Howard argued that they were a bit different. Stacy Francis, currently starring in "Footloose," attended Whitney Houston's concert in Connecticut the other night. Before Whitney launched into her hit single "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)," she asked if anybody in the audience could "shoop" along with her? Whitney then spotted Stacy in the third row and said, "I know this girl can!" She invited Stacy onstage for an impromptu, roof-raising jam session. After it was over, Whitney sent Stacy back to her seat, encouraging the audience to see this Broadway diva in "Footloose."

Whitney has a good memory. The women met, briefly, three years ago when the superstar attended a performance of "Mama I Want To Sing" in which Stacy had a featured role. They had not seen or spoken to each other since that time. (submitted by: Arunesh R.)

WH sings the USA national anthem at the WNBA all-star game in NYC:
WOW! OK, WH missed a note ("and the rockets red ***glare***"), but she made up for it ("oh say does that star spangled banner yet ***wave***"). She was wearing a tracksuit (track pants and a track pull-over, both red). WH had her mouth sprayed with that stuff to help your voice before she started singing. I wonder if she'll be able to deliver at tonite's NYC concert. Though it will not eclipse the 1991 Superbowl version, WH's performance was really, really good. (submitted by: Rachel D.)

I heard the same thing as Ed S. on WBLS Radio and when I called Nippy, Inc. They said she's definitely performing tonight. She'll sing the national anthem at the WNBA game then go directly across the street for the concert.

I thought I heard this morning on WBLS radio in NYC that WH was ONLY appearing at the WNBA all-star game tonite, and that her only concert at MSG (Madison Square Garden) was tomorrow nite, 7/15. This, per the 112 group. I just called MSG, about 11 AM EDT, and was told her concert tonite is NOT cancelled. If I heard the WBLS report correctly, and I may not have 'cause I caught the tail end of it, but if I, and others, heard it correctly, it apparently was wrong info. (submitted by: Ed S.)

I was watching MTV the other night, and Whitney was on a TRL commercial. Later this month (it didn't say when) she will be making an appearance on TRL, but it didn't say why. Whitney To Open WNBA All-Star Game
According to Billboard Mag, Whitney Houston will perform the national anthem at the Inaugural WNBA All-Star Game, to be held this Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Arista artist's performance will be televised live at 7:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN; the women's basketball game will follow. Houston is currently on the U.S. leg of her world tour. Before the interview, the journalist says Whitney will be in Italy on the 27th of September for a concert (I knew it already) and that her next CD will be out on the 25th of October 1999(!!!). WH is currently selecting songs for her next album, soundtrack album for next year's movie with, it seems that the preachers wife took a year of whitney's time with recording songs and acting in movies and every thing she wants to lessen her time with the next movie so she already has associate producers getting songs and song writers working on material, the dj said the album was heading in the area of something spectacular their is even a duet planned between whitney and will called "I will do anything for you". Recently in the US the music industry big wigs ran a poll for the voice of the millenium, where the DIVA came in around third, after Celine and Babs. Ridiculous!!!! Well here in the UK, HMV (one of the largest music retailers) are holding a similar poll but it is the people's choice. It has been almost 8 months since Whitney released MLIYL, and it hasn't yet reached many areas in the Arab world (not in Egypt, not in the Gulf, and not in Jordan)! Throat problems force Houston to cancel shows (news from InfoBeat) - Whitney Houston has had to cancel some dates on her current world tour. Last Saturday she cancelled a concert in Newark, N.J. shortly before showtime, and last Monday she cancelled a show at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. According to published reports, throat problems were the reason for the cancellations. A spokesperson for Houston was away on business and unavailable for comment at press time. The title of the book is Great African-American Women, and I don't know who it is by, but they have a 4 page layout on Whitney. This is no sloppy, thrown together, lets pay tribute to whoever book, Real legends are featured, the have over 30 great black women, the best from all genres. The likes of Lena Horne, Johnetta B. Cole, Hattie McDaniel, Florence Joyner, Oprah Winfrey, Barbra Jordan and many many more great black women of the 20th century are featured. WH was on Extra tonight as the secret celebrity snapshot. They just talked about how she was in her moms choir and how divaism ran in her family. They said she learned how to sing from her mom and she takes pretty good notes. The whole segment was about 20 seconds, and showed part of a concert (?) Rick wants to get Whitney to #1 with her next single! What if this website was to compile a list of all the phone numbers for radio stations throughout the USA/Canada? People could send me the phone numbers of the stations in their areas and then you could put it in a central location on your site. From that point, we could have Whitney Call-to-Action days where everyone calls their radio stations. I think this will make it easier for people to pick up the phone. It seems that Whitney is having a harder time getting airplay with this album than any others in her past. I am colllection phone numbers of various radio stations. Check this site. There is a picture of WH. I have to say that this is not good news at all. This company, NISSIN, is one of the big companies of consumer credit business in Japan. OK first this Radio station (WBLS 107.5) for the past week and up to now has been advertising about the upcoming Whitney's NJ & NY concerts like crazy(which is good). I have been ordering the cassette single for the last 3 weeks but I have not been getting them. Today I made a phone call to find out why and I was told that the singles were a ONE SHOT DEAL . Arista did not allow reorders on this single and once they are gone thats it . I was also told that Arista will be pulling the 1.99 sale price as of 7/7 .
