Gianfranco Ferre is the Designer of Choice for Diva Whitney Houston: Reigning diva Whitney Houston has found her designer of choice when she wants to make a shining impression. Houston wore two different Gianfranco Ferre ensembles for her VH-1 Divas Live performance. One was a stunning red leather suit, the other was a black silk cadi skirt with a silver arm cuff. In addition to last night's performance, Ms. Houston wore a black leather bustier gown in her latest video, "It's not right, but it's OK," and a silk cadi mini dress covered in silver studs to the Soul Train Awards. Redbook Magazine: The interview with Whitney Houston was great the look was excellent, the make-up was flawless and of course those sparkling diamond rings that definetly gives new meaning to plain hands - As far as the outfits were concerned, I feel they could have been better- But other than that she look great, her hairstyle fit her face and the interview was very straight-forward which I loved and (well) I feel she spoke exactly what she feels be sure to pick the May issue up Whitney is smiling and looking very happy. Arista issued a press release to promote the Divas Live after-party. Since when does a record company have to stoop so low as to make a party to celebrate 5 million in sales? The part where they invite the media to the "party" makes it all too obvious that this is just a publicity stunt for an album still outsite the Top 50 on Billboard's Chart which has yet to surpass the 2 million mark in the USA. Essence May anniversary issue: Whitney made May issue the topic is about her hair dresser Ellin LaVar the article is titled Dream Weaver. This story talkes about how whitney's hair dresser got her start at the age of 14 and has been whitney's hair dresser and friend for 13years and she is the only one that does whitney hair she even hangs out with whitney. She also apears in the move bodyguard with whitney doing her hair.Whitney wears weaves not a wig. There is a great picture of whitney and her hairdresser from the movie bodyguard the scene where she is getting ready to go to the club that is her real hairdresser doing her hair and another picture taken from the valentine issue of Vibe when she had shoulder length hair with black pants and the top that looks like a bathing suit. the pictures are great but dont buy the mag unless you want those picture. I was watching Women First on VH1@4ET and they showed Whitney again performing INRBIO and then the Hostess left the auditorium but she was just outside the door and you could still hear Whitney but she was ripping it to MLIYL!!!! So she's singing 5 confirmed songs now:

Clive Davis will throw the Diva herself, Whitney Houston, the party of a life-time to celebrate the 5X Platinum success of her current album "My Love is Your Love." It appears that INRBIO is the next single because I read the following review in the latest edition of Billboard:

Houston continues to prove that she can hang with the kids on the street on the latest single from her "My Love Is Your Love" collection. Producer Rodney Jerkins places the diva at the center of a jittery funk beat that suits the tension of the lyrics. Houston plays the emancipated woman to the hilt here, snarling through the song's "I'm gonna make it anyway" message with a white-knuckled gusto that she hasn't displayed in ages. Loyalists yearning for one of the singer's patented power ballads will be disappointed at first, though they will likely find solace in Jerkins' Smooth remix, which reinvents the tune as a languid jeep cruiser. Everyone else, however, should find this single as appealing and refreshing as it is timely and competitive.

So, I think this is a positive review. It will be interesting to see how Arista handles this and how the single does. I don't know if there will be a commercial release or a new video made. It appears that additional remixes of the song were made. Let's hope for the best. (Submitted by: John M.)

Well NYC being the center of the Universe that it is :-), I was able to find a copy of the May issue of Redbook magazine with a very young, happy, WHITNEY on the cover, I still can't believe she's a day over 25! The article was very deep and Whitney was very open...It focused mainly on her relationship with Bobby and their daughter BK..It was real nice to hear her views on the many rumors that were made about the goings-on in their marriage. Great article and very beautiful picture on the first page of the interview....it's a full page color headshot (nice hair, nice makeup, very DIVA looking)and Whitney's hand's are uplifted forming a frame of sorts around her flawless looking face and oh those DIAMOND RINGS are just gorgeous! To all NY Nippy fans go out and get it NOW it's on every newstand. To everyone else get it when it comes to your neck of the woods, it's definately worth it! (Submitted by: Biko)

The full radio edit for the YNSA remix is available in the music/audio section thanx to Anthony! I really hope this remix is released cuz it rocks and the "extended remix" is even better. It's not your typical house mix, they added keyborads/piano and it's done really well (read: in tune) and they didn't mess which WH's vocals (read: stretching a note). It also sounds way less sappy than the original, and of course Babyface's always-the-same, predicatable arrangement is shuffled in the remix, which makes the song fresh. According to ???, the following is a full roster of the performers for Divas Live 99. The show show round out to be a three hour show to accomdate the performances of the four main divas. Whitney Houston, Cher, Tina Turner, Brandy, Leann Rimes, Elton John, Faith Hill, Mary J. Blige, and TLC. There is a rumor going around also that Mariah Carey may drop in to perform "When you Believe" with Whitney. (submitted by: Dhanyel E.)

On Entertainment Tonight, they will have the broadcast premiere of the INRBIO video during the closing credits. I saw don't bother watching for bits and pieces: check MTV, BET, VH1, etc. for the whole cheap video. Also, I want to point the finger of blame on the video's director who messed up big time. VH1 Divas Live Special Guest: Faith Hill
I just saw a commercial for Vh1 Divas Live 99 and it advertises country singer Faith Hill as a special guest. She's a very popular country singer who's last hit was "This Kiss". Vh1 has set the diva week rolling with an extensive online section about the concert DIVAS LIVE 99 and performers. Whitney's bio, HH video, and photos can be downloaded at vh1.com. Last Saturday at 12 midnight I was able to watch a replay of the hitlist on MTV Asia and I was really happy 'coz Whitney has 2 songs on their chart. The first is It's Not Right But It's Okay which debuted at #20 and the other is Heartbreak Hotel which is a non-mover, which is at #8. I am urging Asian fans to keep requesting these songs so they will reach the top. By the way, Mariah's I Still Believe which is a great revival did not reach #1 it only peaked at #2. For the moment the #1 song is Baby One More Time followed by Madonna's "Nothing Really Matters". (submitted by: John U.)

HH finally in Canada!?
On Friday morning, I turned on to T.V. to Muchmusic and they were playing HH -- the remix version. Can't believe it! I have never seen them play HH since its release. I guess the song is catching on finally in Canada. (submitted by: Gregory B.)

In the May issue of Celebrity Style magazine, there is a section at the end of the magazine that is called "What's Trendy in Hollywood now and What's not." It's about who the magazine thinks is in and who is out. You won't believe what they came up with! They put that new teen singer Britany Spears in, while they put you know who out. Our girl, Nippy! I just wanted to inform you, if you already don't know, Whitney will begin her "My Love Is Your Love Tour" June 25th in Milwaukee, WI. It will go all through the month of July and end August 5th in San Diego, CA. As of now, she is scheduled to perform in 22 different cities in the U.S. However, that may change, and more dates and cities could be added. Tickets will be sold through the fan club very soon. B.E.T. (Black Entertainment Television) has announced the "Global Premier" of the INRBIOK Video in the U.S. on Monday, April 5th at 9 a.m. (I assume that's EST since BET is in Washington D.C.). I was in Tower Records and was looking through an old Rolling Stones Mag and saw this piece of news: it seems that the producers of Warner Bros. after saw that was cero screen chemistry between Whitney and Denzel they are thinking of Will Smith and Lauryn Hill to do the new remake of "A star is born" who was supposed to be remade by our DIVA.   :-( What a pity!!!!
