I was listening to my "light rock" radio station out here in Phoenix, Arizona - 98.7 FM. Casey Kasem's "American Top 20" was playing. And "When You Believe" dropped from No. 4 to No. 6. Then, he played "How Will I Know" about twenty minutes later, saying it was the No. 1 song exactly thirteen years ago. Then, after it was over, the radio station played "I Believe in You and Me". Whitney is gonna come to Spain, after more than 5 years. I couldn´t believe but it is true. I was yesterday listening CADENA 100, one of the most important radio stations in Spain and the DJ played "INRBIO remix" and he explained that Whitney is gonna visit Spain in few days and will be a great SURPRISE. Does it mean that she is gonna appear in the spanish edition of "Surprise show", it is called here in Spain "Sorpresa, sorpresa"?. Many HMV stores in dowtown Toronto have witnessed MLIYL briskly moving up the in-store charts. Just in the last three weeks, MLIYL has gone from #32 to #11 and has ended up this week at #4. They're also finding it hard to keep "Heartbreak Hotel" in the stores. The second shipment of the single has nearly sold out. I just had to write and explain my dissappointment in Arista. Once again, they pull out all the stops to promote our diva on VH1 in the UK. Dont get me wrong, they played WH vids all day and showed exclusive footage of her in the studio with Rodney Jerkins and Missy Elliot but the most important thing, (the exclusive interview) was the "Waiting to Exhale" one, 3 years ago promoting the film. According to Oscar.com, "When you Believe" has been nominated for an oscar, along with Don't Wanna Miss a Thing, and The Prayer. Does this mean that Whitney and Mariah will perform??? Interesting stuff in the chart news...

Whitney did a great performance of INRBIOK at the "Surprise Show" today in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Although the performance wasn not perfect it was nonetheless rather impressive. Whitney thrilled huge fans like: Chantal, Klaus-Peter, Foekje, Davey, Nicole, Lex, Leon, DJ, Cynthia, Judith, Sandra, Yours truely and many others. She looked really georgeous in a brownish (very trendy) pants suite.In my opinnion Nip looked exceptionally beautiful as she radiated in full confidence throughout the performance. Yestersay at Virgin Mega Store in NYC in Times Square, I got the HH/INRBIO single on vinyl. It's a Special Edition Triple Pack. The cover pic isthe same but the song lineup differs slightly from the CD version. Hey I got hatemail today from a Mariah fan!

The Brit Awards will be broadcast on "Capital Radio". This is a UK radio station. They are online, so I think they will also be available in RealAudio. Since the Brits start at 8PM UK-time, this means you can hopefully listen to them live on RealAudio at 2PM EST and 11AM PST. The BRIT Awards ceremony will take place on Feb. 16th, but it will be televised in the UK on Wednesday, February 17 at 8pm on ITV.

I just woke up today, took my morning paper, pulled out the TARGET catalog, and saw Whitney Houston on the front cover. It's an album entitled "YOU ARE LOVED". It's a collection of Whitney Houston's 6 greatest hits, as it says. The cover is a pic from her MLIYL album. It's the one where she's looking back. Anyway, the photo is so huge it covers almost half of the cover. I hope this is the first of many steps Arista's doing to promote her album. TARGET has done the same thing to Celine when Let's Talk About Love came out, and it seemed to work. (submitted by: Sergio)

According to News on the Italian TV (RAI), Whitney should be in Italy at the end of Febraury to sing at the "San Remo Festival" with Mariah Carey. Probably she will also sing in a very popular show called "C'era un Ragazzo". Let's hope!!! (submitted by: Fedrica N.)

In billboard magazine's R&B section, they said that whitney might go to no. 1 next week, because the bulleted no. 15 in R&B sales is all in the sales of the limited maxi single and it cost like 6.99, but the magazine said that look for a big leap or a possible no. 1 because of its commercial release of the single this week. one more thing, I am expecting a heartbreak hotel to be in the top 10 in pop charts next week due to the maxi singles are being released last week not the the commercial release of the single. In this week's Target store flyer, there's a front page ad for Whitney's Valentine's Day cd. The ad says «Available only at Target! Whitney Houston, You are Loved, a limited-edtion love song collection with six of her hit songs on one cd.». There is a huge picture of Whitney, and they also show the cover of the new album.
