According to Billobard Mag, Cher's "Believe," already the U.K.'s bestselling single of 1998, is now the bestselling single by a female artist in British chart history, according to WEA U.K. The company puts current sales of the song at 1.7 million copies in Britain, overhauling the previous champion, Whitney Houston's 1992 smash "I Will Always Love You," which has estimated sales of 1.57 million. I just received my subscription of the magazine Biography yesterday. The magazine had a lengthy article on Whitney and again it questioned her love for Mr. Bobby Brown, but it did give details about her career and her place in music history. A source told me that the video of HH is already done and ready to be released very soon on MTV. The person told me that the concept of the video is of the Old West and the three singers are dressed in belle dresses in a hotel room walking around and looking empty hotel rooms individually. This came off of Yahoo! news about the Grammy awards: "Don't look for Garth Brooks to be singing at the Grammy's next month. The January 18, 1999 issue of "People" magazine has a cover story on "The New Pop Divas". Pics on the cover include: WHITNEY, Mariah, Shania, Jewel, Celine, and Madonna (as if half of these are divas!). Page 76 has a 1/2 page pic of Whitney and Bobby (of course). Whitney is looking fab as always in a great pink and white dress with reversable matching white and pink jacket (this is from last year's Versace fashion show.) The article states: "Whitney has a passion for indooor and outdoor pools". That's it -- and then moves on to the next "diva". I recently went to the record store (Nashville,TN.) to try to buy HH the single. But as you might guess Arista has not sent it out yet. I was mad but not surprised. But then I noticed something that reallly made me mad that was a surprise, there were singles of WYB. Now if this would have been released 2 months ago then it would have been the biggest hit of all time,but now it is way too late and the release will only cause confusion and slow sales of HH. When you throw in Whitney's performance of UYCB and MLIYL at the AMA show, it causes confusion as to what the next single is. This great project by Whitney is turning into a PR nightmare. In the german edition of Top of the Pops they had a clip about Whitney and Mariah and said, that there would be no further appearances of the two together in a show to perform WYB (the song is finally at nr.10 in the German charts). The 1998 Grammy Awards were announced today. Whitney didn't get any nominations for "My Love Is Your Love", however Cissy Houston did get nominated for best Gospel album. As anticipated, Lauryn Hill walked away with the most nominations, in both the POP and R&B categories. (submitted by: Shauren)

I also got a vinyl remix of "Somebody Bigger Than You And I" from Carlos I. W.. This remix is so different that I didn't even recognize the song at first. Basically, they took snipps from the chorus and mixed them into a funky beat. It's pretty good.

In the year end edition of Rolling Stone magazine, they give of a review of MLIYL. They give the album 3 1/2 out of 4 stars. They said the album is excellent. Also, several artists were asked to name their favorite albums of the year. Faith Evans, Monica, and one of the Backstreet Boys all named MLIYL as one of their favorite albums of the year. «Believe In love» (from the "Down in the Delta OST") is an inspiration and love ballad. WH's bridge vocal is short and sweet but powerful. SHE CAN HOLD NOTES!! The ballad is mushy at times, but worth a listen to. I bought the tape for Janet's s ong, so it was quite a surprise for me to hear Nippy. Fans maybe a little disappointed. The German Muisic mag "Musikexpress" reviews MLIYL in their january isuue. MLIYL receives 4 of 6 stars what is a lot for that magazine. They are actually more into alternative music and independent rock, but this time they love Whitney! They call the album "très chic", with trendy material and high class prodction.
