Tabloid Trash or Terrible Truth ? I got this report from an anonymous person yesrterday, and from the Tabloids today.

Important news (speculation?) about the Greatest Hits Package (GHP). Read the 'insider' news!

Kiss The Stone, a bootleg CD company in Europe was closed last year when the authorities caught up with them (I guess)... But GOOD NEWS! They are back under new management... Visit KTS at www.kissthestone.com and you can purchase two WH bootlegs.

  1. Live In New York - note that this seams to be the Welcome Home Heroes concert on CD...
  2. The South Africa Concert - this is a DOUBLE CD and it's great! I have one myself!

Ten Years Ago Today: "WDBHG?" was the number one song on Billboard. (April 1988).

A friend of mine who works in a record store told me that according to their list of upcoming releases, Arista has indicated a TENTATIVE drop date for a Whitney Houston album on September 15. Since a title was not disclosed, though, there is a possibility that Arista may wait for the Christmas rush. (submitted by: Rob N.)

Cissy Houston, the author? I came across an ad promotion for Cissy Houston's new book "How Sweet The Sound: My Life with God an Gospel" in the SF Bay Guardian. Cissy will be signing copies of her book at the Alexander Book Company on 5/19/98 at 12:30pm. This may explain her and Whitney's appearances on the Today show.

People Magazine's Annual Reader's Poll came out this week. Since WH doesn't have any album/single out right now, it would be expected that she would either not make the poll, or score really low. NOT SO!!!! Whitney came in second (tie w/ Mariah) behind Celine! Very surprising to say the least! All the other female singers on the poll have a current release. All except 4 WH. People Online is having a poll right now (to confirm their previous poll?). GO VOTE FOR WHITNEY!!!

There is another concert in Germany apparently. Berlin. June 23/98. (submitted by: Frank S.)

New Audio Files!!!! Listen to the rare trax and live trax you've never heard before!

Friday, April 24th 1998 at 7:00 am on ABC: Good Morning America guests include singer Whitney Houston. (from rockontv.com) Is anyone else curious as to what WH will be peddelling during her appearence on the show? Also, we'll be able to check to see her 'condition'... if she is wearing baggy clothes, then I might start worrying.

Whitney will be on Extra (TV show) Thursday the 16th. They say it will be about growing up as a young model and how it was not easy as many people think. Read Extra's preview descrption. For Whitney Houston and Brooke Shields, growing up as young models wasn't as easy as you might think. EXTRA takes a look a new documentary that explores the intimate details of their personal struggles with beauty. CONFESSIONS OF TEENAGE COV ERGIRLS, on the next EXTRA! The event that started it all... Yohan has submitted a picture of WH at the Versace Fashion show last week in NYC. Whitney has since denied that she is/was pregnant. Dont ask me why WH has her mouth wide open and her eyes closed shut in this picture. Could they not have picked another pic to publish in the magazine?!

Did you know that the song "In Return" which WH has never recorded, but included in her 1991 Japan concert [listen to it here], was originally recorded by Cece Winans! I have only now heard Cece's version of the song. I like Ce ce's studio version better. The song was also written by a Winans family member.

Tonight, April 7, TFI (the first French TV channel) will air "The Bodyguard" movie on TV at 20h55! This is the SECOND time that they air the BG on TV in France. The first time it aired, 12 million people in France tuned in. That is a whopping 55% of the T V audience!!! And that is the sceond best raiting of the year in France. I guess this means WH is breaking records on both sides of the Atlantic as far as TV raitings are concerned (Cinderella and now this). (submitted by: Bruno A.)

Thanx to Bruno, I have added Will Smith to the polling question about possible WH duet partners. En ce qui concerne ton sondage tu aurais du proposer Will Smith !!!

The New York Times and Access Hollywood both reported that WH was not pregnant. Bobby was apparently 'just joking'. What a loser! Why would you joke about that?

Want to attend the Essence Awards on April 10/98? (WH is gonna be there). You can be a 'seat filler'.

If anyone would like to attend the Essence Awards for free, please let Steven H. know as soon as possible. They are taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Good Friday - April 10, 1998. If you want to go, you will be a seat filler - which means you will be sitting right up front with all the stars. You could even be next to Whitney if she sits in the audience! I have done this for other "live" broadcasts, and it is always great fun. I must know as soon as possible though. I will be unable to attend becuase of work, but I can get in as many people in as possible. E-mail Steven at haska@webtv.net.

Article about WH's role in the 1998 Esssence Awards. (from the Destin Mailing List)

It was reported on Regis and Kathy Lee (popular morning show in the USA if you did not know), on April 1st, that Whitney was seen coming out of the office of a Prominent Divorce Lawyers office. (submitted by: David L.)

CONFIRMED! CNN has confirmed that WH will not only attend the Dove Awards on April 23/98, but she will also perform the PW song "I Go to the Rock" (happens to be Rachel's fave track on the CD). Read the entire CNN article. (submitted by: Seng S.Y.)

Another Dove Award-related article has been submitted by David B.

Whitney will be presenting singer Patti LaBelle with a special award at the Essence Awards, on April 10th. You'll remember that last year Houston, herself, was an honoree but couldn't attend and that LaBelle was amongst the artists who performed for her. I guess Whitney's returning the favor. (submitted by: Keith J.)

    New polling question!

Check this out! Trevor P. re-made "I Believe in You and Me". Listen to it here!

ABC television will broadcast a premiere of the hit film, "Waiting To Exhale" this coming Sunday evening.

You know yesterday, when I told you about WH's appearance at the Versace fashion show, well, she was wearing a baby pink/purple Versace 'dress' and it fit VERY largely on her. Like it could have been a maternety dress, because it was very loose around the waist. I thought of WH being pregnant, but I did not want to speculate. Now Gabriel P. has a report from last night's "Access Hollywood" TV show:
I just wanted to know if you saw 'Acess Hollywood' yesterday? I did, and they said that Whitney was wearing a beautiful purple gown that was very loose and they said that she was wearing it because she was pregnant. She refused to comment but Bobby kept saying "we don't know what kind of condition she'll be in this summer!" Isn't that great?!
