The Mailing List is going to be all done by computer... it was done up till now by hand by Rachel. If you still
want to be in the Whitney Mailing List, you will have to RE-subscribe online, as Rachel doesn't have the time to subscribe all 300 of you on her own.
The new Web Board is ready! It requires registration in order to be able to post a message. In Trouble... Again! The Bobby Brown Florida Sentencing. That's the last straw for me! I can't believe I defended this poor excuse for a man! From this day forward, I solemnly swear not to defend any crack-heads! Bobby had pleanty of opportunity to prove that he wasn't a 'bad boy', but has failed miserably!
Rosie O'Donnell was on the Tom Snyder show 1/30/98. I'm told that she said Whitney
is going to be on her show sometime in February. If this is true, then the fiasco
that went on for weeks is over, with no hard feelings.

Whitney is on the cover of UPSCALE magazine's Febuary issue with Bobby Brown it has an
exclusive interview with Bobby Browns mother, Nip, and Bobby.

Also, on the Montel Williams show, Psychic Sylvia Browne was on there and said that the marriage between Nip and Hubby was over this year because Bobby was dragging her down from a spiritual level to his drug additction world. I really don't feel this is true because in the magazine mentioned above she talks about Bobby as if they were still newlyweds. (submitted by: Larry A.)
RUMOR ALERT, RUMOR ALERT: it is to be
believed that Nip is on drugs but thats only a rumor.....if anyone reading
this has Nips MTV Rocumentary interview listen to what she says exactly in
that interview.....that interview clearly states that she is not on drugs(if
you read between the lines). Keep in mind that this is an old interview but

Dick Clarke was on the Howard Stern Show this morining to plug the AMAs and he listed all the artists. Whitney's name was not on the list. I guess this means
she will not attend the ceremony.
Whitney's PW OST lost to the Men In Black OST in the "Favourite Soundtrack" category at the 25th American Music Awards. This was no surprise to Rachel because of the HUGE commercial success of the MIB.
During the AMA's ceremony they had a commercial for the release of the Cinderella Movie.
They said it was going to be available in stores on February 10th. (submitted by: David)

Rachel was watching her taped episodes of the Oprah Winfrey Show and noticed that
Whitney's name was mentioned on Wednesday's show. "In Style" magazine's fashion expert was displaying the new trends for 1998, one
of which was a pair of "huggeable earrings" w/ topaz on one half and yellow 'gold' on the other. The circular earrings are "reversible"
in the way you can show either the topaz side or the 'gold' side. The fashion expert said that Whitney Houston has a pair of these.

RE-INCARNATION OF THE GREATEST HITS PACKAGE! This is apparently the sample cover design for "Classic Whitney". It was published in an Australian mag called "Sanity".
OK, let's not rejoice just yet. We've all heard this before time and time again... I for one am not holding my breath.

New RealAudio files of "Takin' A Chance" and "Higher Love" have been added to the audio page. These 2 songs are only available on the Japanese version of IYBT, which is very hard to find outside of Asia.

There is a new Sell-Trade Page to which one must register in order to post a 'classified ad',
but you need not register to view the entries. All 'classified ads' are sorted first by
type (i.e. audio, video, clothing) and then by 'For Sale' or 'For Trade'. Any bugs should
be reported to Rachel the webmaster.

Did you know that "The Preacher's Wife" OST has now sold more than
5 million units world wide and counting?! Not bad for a Gospel Album.
The Breakdown is 3 million US and 2 Million reset of the world, not
including Japan. Statistics are not logged for how many units sold in Japan.
Japan is one of Whitney's Biggest Markets. As soon as I find out how many units sold in Japan I will let you know. (submitted by: Yohan)

Whitney failed to attend the ceremony. Whitney & Bobby spent holidays in Miami, according to Jeannie Williams' column in 1/5/98 USA Today. (submitted by: Chip H.) Whitney recieved a TBS Trumpet Award. The broadcast will air on TV on Sunday, Febuary 8th on TBS (Rachel doesn't get the channel.) [Did Whitney snob Glady Knight? - find out!]. (from: Yahoo News) I saw Whitney and Bobby on the cover of Upscale magazine. There's an interview with Bobby,Whitney, and Bobby's mother.
