Whitney will be on HBO again in November. She will be on November 8, 1997 at 8:00p.m. So if you missed it the first time or saw it the first time and didn't get to tape it all the way, now is your chance.

Here I am @ home, missing class to watch the Rosie O'Donnell show... and Rosie is pissed off because WH's personnel called this morning and said she was sick and would not be able to show up on the Rosie Show.... I did tape Rosie's monologue about how Whitney should be there anyhow...

I mean, like even if U R sick, the appearance on the Rosie Show would only be a couple minutes and it's not like she has to sing or anything... I am really pissed off!!! I have better things to do that to miss important classes to watch Brandy on TV.

"Taking It Step By Step" opens up its second chat room. The first Java Chat is now the Miracle Chat Room. The new one is the Step By Step Chat Room. The "Step By Step" chat room is now running and it does not require Java. You can all have fun, java or non java here and chat until you drop. It includes many cool functions like shielded email, web links and picture links if you want your picture to be shown while chatting, or just any little picture you like, even if it's not yourself. "You were loved" has been confirmed as WH's contribution to the Diana tribute album- to be released in UK on Dec 1. (submitted by: Sadiq V.)

The track "Every Nation," written and produced by R. Kelly and performed by the Red Hot All Stars, which features Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, Tony Rich, Gerald Levert, Monica, SWV, Montel Jordan, Dru Hill, and other R&B and hip-hop stars. At deadline, it had not been determined if that track or any other would be released as a single. (That is the song WH recorded last Spring, which was meant to be for a "Red Hot & R&B" CD, the proceeds of which were going to AIDS research)... (the entire Billboard article)

Whitney was on "Hard Copy" last night. I know that the show is a bunch of crap but she was still on it. Brandy TOTALLY dissed her! They had previously asked Brandy if she'd like to be like Whitney and she replied " Yes, but without the attitude!" I couldn't believe it! In Brazil, a collection of four of the biggest successful movies by WB pictures was released. The Bodyguard is the runner-up of this collection (at least here in Brazil) and it comes w/ something - it's not a mag, but it's not a book either - that came with many pics of WH herself and "The Bodyguard" scenes, which I've never seen on your pic gallery...
There's one interesting,from US Cup '94, in which Whitney has a soccer ball on her hand and she's with Pelé, a brazilian soccer player who is considered "The Athlete of the Century"... It's kinda funny, we see the Greatest singer of all w/ the greatest player of all... :) (submitted by: Fernanda)

In an article in the new Billboard Magazine about "Cinderella", they said that Whitney is "the real driving force behind this new version. In the uplifting duet "Impossible" with Brandy, Houston is careful not to overshadow her young co-star but still manages to belt out a rousing rendition."

Last Sunday, Oct 19, VH-1 had a special called Women First. It was hosted by Jewel, and it featured the profiles of many women singers, including Whitney! They played two music videos for each singer and I think VH-1 might have it on again, so keep you r eyes peeled! (submitted by: Ashleigh)

Whitney Houston will be performing at a big event much like the Promise Keepers march in Washington. The November 29th event is supposed to be called Loving 97 and is an event at which married couples only will join together to pledge their love for each other, renew their vows and join via satellite other places in LA, Chicago and other places around the world who will be doing the same. To be held on RFK stadium, the event is supposed to feature Whitney Houston as well os others.

You have to go to the True Family Education Center and go through a short little ceremony to renew your vows to be able to purchase tickets. I don't know any more about it, but I believe you may be able to find out more by calling 301-317-6311.

In the October 27th issue of People magazine, there was a little article in The Insider section about Whitney. Here it is:

Since I've been right there reporting the bad times in Whitney Houston's marriage to Bobby Brown, I should probably report the good times as well. And things between these two must be going pretty well lately, because for the first time since their marriage in 1992, Houston was identified as Whitney Houston-Brown in the credits following her live HBO concert on Oct. 5, a show in Washington DC that included appearances by her brother, mother, daughter, stepchildren, and Brown. Just last month, Houston changed the name of her production company from Whitney Houston Productions to BrownHouse Productions. Houston's rep Lois Smith says the name change is being done only for the behind-the-scenes business matters. Whitney's name is on the cover of the current issue of ESSENCE magasine. It is under the caption "Stars Secrets" or something of the sort. Rachel thumbed thru the mag and saw an out-of-focus pic of Whitney (taken during the filming of the Preacher's Wife) and one line of 'secret info' that commented on Whitney's eyebrows. Don't even waste your money on this magazine.

Whitney was on Access Hollywood (TV show) last night. They were covering the "Cinderella" primiere party. They talked about Whitney and Brandy's relationship which Whitney described as being a sister/friend/mother relationship. When asked when the next ti me she and Bobby would work together, she replied "soon, very soon". Then she added "maybe a baby" and added to that comment "very soon!" Bobby's comment, "I'm looking forward to that!" They looked very happy. (submitted by: Diana G.)

Entertainment Tonight had a behind-the-scenes look at "Cinderella" October 10th, and showed a little more of Whitney's performance.

There's going to be a special on "Cinderella" aired during ABC's "Wonderful World of Disney" showing of "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves" this Sunday October 12th. Check your local listings!

ALSO, just a reminder that Whitney will be on Keenan Ivory Wayans' show Monday, October 13th! Bobby is also scheduled to be on the show this week, probably on Thursday, October 16th, in case Whitney also shows up that day. (submitted by: Lisa D.)

Whitney was on Entertainment Tonight today. She sported a really short hari cut and she was with Bobby. In the interview, Bobby denied any 'beatings' and the couple looked happy. My sister called me to tell me, but I missed it... Thank you Alexandra!

Got some gooood information from a from a fairly reliable source that the new compact disc will be released soon. I'll keep you posted when i have further confirmation on this. Let us all email Arista, imploring them to ensure an early release. I do believe they will listen to us if they get a good number of requests . Last night on Access Hollywood they said that the Whitney concert was going to be replayed!! YEAH, they said it was because so many fans where complaining they didn't get to see it, they didn't mention the station or date, but just be looking out for it. (submitted by: Erin D.)

Whitney was on Access Hollywood (T.V. show) last night. They showed her practicing for the HBO concert (singing I WIll Always Love You), had some comments from her, had a small clip of the song off Bobby's new album, and mentioned that Bobby *might* be joining Whitney onstage for a song on the HBO special. The weekend edition of USA Today includes a brief blurb on Bobby Brown's forthcoming album, which is slated for release on October 28. According to the paper, Whitney actually opens the album with a titillating 52-second performance of the song, "Nobody Does It Better." The cut is titled simply "Intro." The paper also characterizes the album as something of a "love ode to Whitney" with cuts like "She's All I Need," which explicitly addresses rumors of Brown's volatile relationship with the talented diva. Classic rock certainly has wrought some of the worst abuses of that quizzical phrase, "instant classic." But they aren't alone. Take the upcoming "Classic Whitney" [Houston] HBO concert. Who knows, maybe in the year 2525, if man is still alive, Houston will be right up there with Mozart (and Jethro Tull) as a musical master. But her career to date has barely topped a decade. Does that make "Classic Whitney" stuff from K to six? Maybe -- her style has changed little since 1985. Since there's no clear Post-Classic Whitney style, does "Classic" mean she'll perform, uh, Mozart and Tull? Instant classic, for sure.

Classic Whitney - Front Cover artwork & Concert Down Under!!!
Whitney will be preforming twelve concerts in Australia before June, 1997. According to an Austrlian music mag, the concert will be promoting the new album "Classic Whitney" which is set for release in Australia by December 15th 1997. It will have the following front cover!!! (See attachment). I think it looks great. I hope this will put Whitney back at number one.
