Houston Pediatric Special Care Unit, which Whitney helps fund. What a
charitable person she is! Here is collection of
Canadian articles concerining Whintey and her lastest movie, etc...
I found this Whitney
Homepage, with lots of lyrics.
This is a
Spanish Whitney homepage.

CONGRATULATIONS, WHITNEY! Whitney is a
winner at the Grammys! She won
for "Best R&B Song" (Exhale (Shoop Shoop))
Whitney had a hand in Babyface's "Producer of the Year" award (WTE). The
WTE soundtrack lost to Celine Dion's "Falling Into You" for Album of the
Year (but that's OK 'cuz that's a gr8 album and Celine is just exquisite).
Whitney's mother, Cissy Houston, also won for "Best Traditional
Soul Gospel Album".
Whitney was in the last performance of the evening,
belting out "Exhale" and "Count On Me" with Cece Winans. She looked gr8.
Harvey K. found this
cool site where you can hear Whitney talk about the latest movie and
her plans for the future. Check it out!

Carlos C. found this
webiste which claims that someone else's voice was used for Whitney's
AT&T commercial... You might want to go to the website and email this
'Nicole Brennan' character... (just a suggestion)
Carlos C. had provided me with a couple
pictures from the Grammy rehearsals featuring Whitney and the other
artists she is scheduled to perform with.
Whitney has announced a couple concert dates in Japan. NO OTHER
CONCERTS ARE PLANNED AT THIS TIME! (dont email me to ask when she is
coming to your town... I don't have this info!).

TUNE IN: Word has it Whitney Houston, CeCe Winans and Toni Braxton may
team up for a blockbuster finale at next week's Grammy Awards show. What
is confirmed: Eric Clapton and Babyface duetting on ``Change the
World,'' and Stevie Wonder and Natalie Cole in a tribute to the late
Ella Fitzgerald.
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown are said to be on the outs again.
People mag says they got into a screamer on his tour bus in Utah, he
showed her the door, and she mounted a trailing bus, which took her to
the nearest airport and back to L.A.
The troubled New Edition reunion tour hit another bump when the group
had to cancel its Tuesday gig in Fairfax, Va., because of the arrest in
Louisville, Ky., of member Ronnie DeVoe on alcohol intoxication and
disorderly conduct charges. Cops were called to the Regency Hyatt Hotel
after complaints of men drinking in the halls. Said DeVoe and his buds
got nasty. Bobby Brown's missed several tour dates and, after a screamer
with visiting wife, Whitney Houston, she bolted and went home.

The Hollywood Reporter stated that Whitney will be performing at the
Grammys... Can't wait! (submitted by: Ralph M.)
Today CNN reported (not some sleeze magazine) that Bobby threw
Whitney and sweet little Bobbi-Kristina and the nanny off his tour bus
and left them stranded on some highway in UTAH. Now you know how I hate
thiscrap but CNN is pretty reliable. I am really upset about that.
What do you think, are they making this krap up? But you know and I
know she really loves him shes made of steel to tolerate this she
deserves so much better but who are we to judge whats good for her.

News (Gossip): new reports about her marriage being in trouble have
resurfaced. USAToday and the Washington Post both report that one of
two tour buses being used for the New Edition concert tour stopped on
a highway to let Whitney, daughter Bobbi K., Bobbi's nanny, and an
assistant off. They then boarded the second bus, which dropped them
off in the next city to catch a flight home. All of this after a
reported blow-out with husband Bobby Brown. Reports did not indicate
who initiated the departure. (submitted by: Marques M.)

In the World Chart Show, Whitney's "Step By Step" is movin' up "leap by
leap" and jumps up 3 more spots to No. 7 in only its 5th week.

The preacher's Wife has now sold Two Million copies
(Billboard), there is still no word as to if she will sing at the Grammy's
or the NAACP Awards. But I 'll keep you posted. (submitted by: Dave

The Whitney Houston-Bobby Brown marriage has hit another bump in the
road. People magazine says a recent spat ended with Houston storming off
Brown's tour bus in the middle of Utah. Brown and his reunited band New
Edition finished a late-January gig in Albuquerque and on the bus ride
to their next date in Salt Lake City Houston and Brown started screaming
at each other. People says Brown told the driver to pull off the highway
so Houston, the couple's three-year-old child Bobbi, an assistant and a
nanny could get out. A second tour bus right behind picked up the
entourage and then Houston and her party headed directly to the airport
and flew back to Los Angeles. (submitted by: Ralph M.)

In the World Chart Show, Whitney is moving up the chart in leaps and
bounds. "Step By Step" debuted at No. 30 two weeks ago. Since then, it
has moved up to No. 21 and lands at No. 14 this week. Look for it to
enter the top ten next week. (submitted by: Rob N.)
On Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart, "The Preacher's Wife" soundtrack
holds at No. 14 (issue date: February 22, 1997). Also on the
February 15, 1997 broadcast of the World Chart Show, "Step By Step" leaps
from No. 14 to No. 10 in its fourth week on the chart (I had predicted top
ten status last week!!!). (submitted by: Rob N.)

Subject: First platinum single from the PW soundtrack
I'm not sure if you Whitney chart watchers have noticed, but the diva
with the golden pipes has added yet another achievement to her already
impressive catalogue of chart successes. Although her single "I Believe
in You and Me" failed to reach the number one spot on Billboard's Pop
Chart, this Top Five hit has, nonetheless, achieved platinum sales
certification in the U.S. This means that Ms. Houston has another
million-selling single on her hands, adding to an already long list of
such singles released over the course of her brilliant career.
Meanwhile, the PW soundtrack has acheived double-platinum certification
in two short months. (submitted by: R. Rogers).
AUSTRALIA!!! "The Preachers Wife" starts on Feb 27! The Whitney Single

Here is Billboard's review of "Step by Step"
---------------------------------------
"Step By Step'' (4:09) Arista
This appropriate follow-up to the top five "I Believe In You And Me'' is a
rousing, gospel-kissed chugger. It's been too long since Houston has cut
loose on an uptempo number, and she whips through this jam with engaging
ease. Added pleasure comes from the appearance of Annie Lennox _ the song's
composer _ on backing vocals. In all, this is one of the shining moments on
the soundtrack to "The Preacher's Wife,'' and it should quickly become the
latest in the diva's milelong string of multiformat hits.

Whitney will be on Oprah on Monday!!!!
(submitted by: Christina S.)
Monday's show is a compilation of Oprah's favorite interviews with female
entertainers... Whitney, Barbara, Madonna, Patti LaBelle, etc. So I don't
think it's a "new" piece, when Whitney was mentioned in the preview, it
was a scene for when she was on with the Exhale cast. I wish it was a new
interview... (submitted by: Pat R.)

In the Billboard issue for the week ending February 15, 1997, "The
Preacher's Wife" soundtrack tumbles from No. 9 to No. 14 in its 10th week
on the Top R&B Albums chart. This is the first week that the album has
fallen out of the top ten. However, with the release of "Step By Step",
the album should have no problem bouncing back into the top ten.
