The
Whitney Weekday Request Campaign
has been divided by the letters of the alphabet. For example, if
your last name begins with the letter "A," you can proceed
to the row for "A" and call or e-mail any 3-5 radio stations
in that section. The letters will change everyday. The goal is to
help ensure that each state gets votes everyday, without all of
us voting in huge blocks.
Here is Another Option For Anyone With E-mail that Includes a
Line For BCC. This method enables you to send a single message
to DJs across the country without revealing that other DJs are receiving
your message at the same time.
DO NOT do this if your e-mail software does not provide a line called
BCC!!!
Non-AOL users click here.
AOL users have to use this different
method instead.
Note: While the BCC method will be quite effective, it excludes
many radio stations that do not provide direct e-mail addresses.
Therefore, if you have five minutes, continue to check out the
complete request list, because there are many links there that
will take you to radio station web sites where you'll be able
to send your e-mail message easily. Thanks!

The NBC Friday Night Videos poll has closed with Whitney getting
just 9% of the vote. The song has far less of a profile than its
two competitors, and we only just found out about the poll, so
it's to be expected. Hopefully it will be a contender again later
on when it will have a better chance. Thanks to everyone who voted!

"Fine"
Poll: Whitney's upcoming U.S. single, "Fine,"
is already being featured on NBC's "Friday Night Videos"
program even though the song has barely debuted on any video channels
yet. Please
vote for this song at their online poll by clicking on
their "Music" link! U.S. fans can also vote for Whitney
by phone by calling 1-800-JUKEPIC. Many teeny bopper fans watch
this show and it would be good early TV exposure. Vote like mad!
The song is up against Matchbox 20 and Green Day. If it wins the
viewer vote, the show will play the entire video on October 13th.
(Thanks Markiss)
It's time for the Whitney Weekday Request
Campaign to kick into full swing. We've already been requesting
"Fine" to a certain extent at radio stations, but we should
be requesting the song at both Pop and R&B radio stations. You
can tell the stations that you saw the music video on TV and would
like to hear it at their station, or any other valid excuse. Non-U.S.
fans can also make online requests if they can avoid giving their
overseas e-mail addresses, or if they have addresses that don't
obviously appear to be based outside the U.S. It is very early in
this song's request life, so let's try not to appear like an organized
fan campaign! The request list has been divided by letters of the
alphabet so you can choose various stations by the letter that matches
your last name. The letters will change everyday so you can alternate
which stations you contact so they won't be quite as bombarded.
Thank you!
If you know of additional radio stations that should be on the request
list, please e-mail the Nippy News!
Thanks!

"Could I Have This Kiss Forever" is up eight places to No. 2 on

by TMF Belgium. In addition, the duet is at No. 4 (up three places)

Belgium. The video is still on heavy rotation, so maybe the song
will eventually reach the No. 1 spot. (Thanks Eddy VB)
According to MTV, "Could I Have This Kiss Forever" has moved up
four places to No. 6 from No. 10 on the Italian chart. It is the
highest position she has reached since "When You Believe" and it

our music channels and the song is really popular. (Thanks Claudio)
Earlier this week a new double CD was released in Europe called

USA
Today published a gossip item today stating that attorney Johnnie
Cochran was asked by Whitney's "inner circle" to deal with the charge
against her in Hawaii. However, according to Cochran's spokeswoman,
he isn't certified to practice in Hawaii, though he could have been
a consultant, and he's moving away from criminal law. This morning,
Cochran told the Doug Banks show on 107.5 FM WBLS in New York City
that the rumors are not true and asked to please put them to rest.

According
to BMG Spain, Whitney may be in Europe as soon as later this year
for a movie. They were not aware of which movie project it might
be. If it indeed happens, they are hoping she might have time to
fit in some promotional appearances for the Greatest Hits while
she is there. But before we get our hopes up, keep in mind that
their information changes frequently. Anything they say should be
taken as a possibility with nothing set in stone. (Thank you
Laura)

From the Atlanta Voice: Music entrepreneur/singer Perri "Pebbles"
Reid and former Atlanta Braves outfielder Otis Nixon announced last
week that they would be tying the knot in the Bahamas this weekend.
The publication stated that Whitney would be the matron of honor
and Mary J. Blige would sing. The couple's engagement was also announced
by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, but that newspaper made no
mention of Whitney or Mary J. Blige. No follow-up reports have been
published. (Thanks Antwoinne)
