The Whitney Weekday Request Campaign has been divided by the letters of the alphabet. For example, if your last name begins with the letter "A," you can proceed to the row for "A" and call or e-mail any 3-5 radio stations in that section. The letters will change everyday. The goal is to help ensure that each state gets votes everyday, without all of us voting in huge blocks.

Here is Another Option For Anyone With E-mail that Includes a Line For BCC. This method enables you to send a single message to DJs across the country without revealing that other DJs are receiving your message at the same time.
DO NOT do this if your e-mail software does not provide a line called BCC!!!

  • Non-AOL users click here.
  • AOL users have to use this different method instead.

Note: While the BCC method will be quite effective, it excludes many radio stations that do not provide direct e-mail addresses. Therefore, if you have five minutes, continue to check out the complete request list, because there are many links there that will take you to radio station web sites where you'll be able to send your e-mail message easily. Thanks!

"Whitney: The Greatest Hits" is the FNAC's best selling album! (The FNACs are the biggest music stores in France and are present throughout the country.) (Thanks Julian S.)

Whitney Live! Whitney is going to be performing in Atlantic City, N.J. in July! I saw an LED advertisement sign in front of Casears Hotel and Casino and it said: "Whitney Houston, July _ coming in concert!" with a date on it that I couldn't see! (Thank you Steve W.)

For all the fans in France:
French radio station "Fun Radio" will air an exclusive interview with Whitney on June 9th at 6:00 p.m. There is also an ad at the station's web site that says: "All that Whitney has never told you before!" There's a possibility that fans outside France could listen via the station's web site, of course taking time zones into account.(Thanks Melisande, Julian S., Alexandra)

Lo + 40 (a program on Spanish radio station "Los 40 Principales") is having a Whitney competition to win money throughout the week. They're asking many questions about Whitney and are playing her songs again and again. (Thanks Laura)

I saw a Greatest Hits promo sampler CD in a Sam Goody record store. It had all her new songs on it plus a couple of the Throw Down club mixes. It had the same front insert cover as the Greatest Hits album but it had different writing on the front. Also, at a Tower Records store, I saw a life-sized standup of Whitney: The Greatest Hits! It is the same as the album cover but it's big with two holes on the right side in which CDs could be placed for display. (Thanks Steve W.)

Chart News Update: Whitney maintains the No. 1 position on the U.K. Albums chart! The Greatest Hits also makes impressive debuts in Japan and Singapore, and takes a leap up the Danish charts...

IITYT will be available tomorrow in German CD shops. (Thanks Dominik)

Whitney has been nominated in the first annual Singapore Radio Awards. The ceremony is to be held at the Singapore Harbour Pavilion, World Trade Centre on June 18th. (Thanks Gary)

Arista's 25th anniversary site has posted two clips from Whitney's performance at the celebration in great picture and audio quality:
    80's medley - 4:36
My Love Is Your Love - 4:12 (medley with Monica, Faith, Angie Stone and Bobby Brown).
Fans can also see the entire show here. (Thanks Eddy VB)
    2000/5/27

Whitney's Greatest Hits has been released in South Africa, but there are two sets:
    1. The normal Greatest Hits 2CD with Cool Down & Throw Down discs
    2. The Remixes which has Cool Down & Throw Down's track's remixed!
The DVD has also been released. (Thanks Thulane)

Whitney debuted at No. 2 on the Brazilian charts (without any promotion). Also, the Arista 25th Anniversary will be aired June 15th on a Direct channel, but for free, not pay-per-view. (Thanks Roberto)

We must thank Philippines radio station WLSFM 97.1 for promoting Whitney's album, which is enjoying the bronze position at Music One. There is no update yet for Tower Records Philippines. The album release in that store is late. "Mabuhay si Whitney Houston!" (Long Live Whitney Houston!) (Thanks Reinald)

I was listening to Nashville's Top 8 at 8 on 102.5 FM The Party, and "Same Script, Different Cast" was at No. 4! (Thanks Spencer)

CIHTKF Video Shoot: The radio station Z100 in New York City is giving away tickets to the video shoot for "Could I Have This Kiss Forever"!

    Chart News from the Philippines...

The Greatest Hits is in the Top 15 in the hit parade of radio RTBF in Belgium! (Thanks Marie-Eve)

The Hits have finally arrived in Argentina! I saw the 2CD set today at Tower Records in Buenos Aires at the expensive price of $ 31. The Argentine version of the Hits does not include "One Moment in Time" and "The Star Spangled Banner," but it does include "Run To You" on CD1. For the moment, the only place that officially sells the double CD is Tower Records, with a total of 4 branches in Buenos Aires only. The display is only in "New Releases" although no posters have been displayed yet. I saw the American version in some stores that have imported material only. Radio stations are still playing "I Learned From The Best," and I have not seen any articles in the press yet.(Thanks Erick)

The Muse web site has an absolutely disrespectful review of the Greatest Hits here. Read at your own risk. (Thanks Jo)

Access Hollywood showed about 15 seconds of Whitney and George Michael last night from the filming of the IITYT music video last week. They were dancing and singing at each other on a platform surrounded by people. There wasn't enough of the clip to see if the video has a storyline, but Whitney looked great! She was wearing a black shirt with a light green animal print, plus a black shirt and normal-length black jacket over it. The jacket had a bit of matching black and green fur at the collar. (Thanks Christina S.)

From USA Today: Whitney Houston apparently changed her mind about staying home and flew to Florida Wednesday to see hubby Bobby Brown, jailed awaiting a hearing on a probation violation.

Somebody at Entertainment Weekly apparently has nothing better to do than over-analyze videotape. (Thanks Ralph M.)

On the BMG-Backstage web site, they posted video excerpts from following clips from the Greatest Hits package:

  • Love Will Save The Day (:54)
  • I'm Your Baby Tonight (1:04)

The Greatest Hits video and DVD were released in Spain two days ago. (Thanks Laura)

The Greatest Hits DVD and video are already available in Germany, there are just a lot of shops where you have to ask for them in order to get them. Don't ask me why they are not posting them somewhere in the store. (Thanks Michaela)

I must have started over and over again trying to remember who to thank during this project. I thanked everyone from Whitney Houston and Bill Cosby to Babyface and Howard Stern. CD Review from Newsweek: Whitney Houston, 'The Greatest Hits' (Arista, 2 CDs) After all the tabloid stories, here's what counts: that voice. No one of her generation sings with more character and conviction. 4 Stars (out of 5). More CD reviews...

Whitney: The Greatest Hits" entered France's Top 25 Compilations Chart at No. 1! France classifies the greatest hits as a compilation, not as an album. (Thanks Julian S., Bruno A.)

Whitney had a 4-page article in last week's issue of VSD Magazine in France. It contains pictures that we have never seen before. The article itself is not really nice. Whitney is also featured in this week's "Voici" magazine (same kind of article) with another new picture. (Thanks Julian S.)

The duet "If I Told You That" is still on playlist-A at Radio 1 (BBC). It's fair to assume that IITYT will likely be one of the highest new entries in the charts in the near future. Unfortunately the single is not yet available in stores, but it is just a matter of time. (Thanks Eddy VB)

The Greatest Hits video is available in Poland today, and the DVD will be in stores on June 5th. (Thanks Sylwia)

Sonicnet Article: Bobby Brown Must Stay In Jail, Judge Rules

R&B singer's request for bond denied; probation-violation hearing set for June 19. Contributing Editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen reports:
R&B singer Bobby Brown won't be leaving a Florida jail anytime soon. A Broward County circuit judge denied Brown's request for bond at a court appearance Monday (May 22), keeping the singer in jail in Fort Lauderdale at least until June 19, according to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel.

"It's not fair, man. It ain't fair," Brown said to his lawyer, Bruce Lyons, after the ruling. Brown's wife, singer Whitney Houston, was not in the courtroom.

Brown was arrested on May 10 at Newark International Airport, on an outstanding warrant for violating probation, as he and Houston returned from a vacation in the Bahamas. He was sent to Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale, where he has been held since.

Judge Leonard Feiner refused Brown's request for bond, saying he was a flight risk because of his wealth, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

The warrant for the singer's arrest was issued in Broward County in June 1999, after Brown allegedly tested positive for cocaine twice and failed to return from a trip to Beverly Hills, Calif., before a proposed deadline. At the time, Florida prosecutors said they would not seek extradition to the state.

Brown will remain in Broward County Jail until a hearing is held to determine if he violated his probation. The hearing is tentatively set for June 19, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

During the hearing, Brown pointed his finger at reporters and photographers and told them, "This is a terrible story," according to the newspaper.

Lyons said that, while Brown initially was shocked by the ruling, he realizes that the judge was just doing what he thought he had to do. "He's a big boy. He wasn't happy about it, but he's living with it," Lyons said.

Lyons said he's in frequent contact with Brown and Houston. "She's concerned, as any wife would be," Lyons said. He added that he's disturbed by the amount of media attention the case has garnered.

"It's just a DWI. It's not that big a deal," Lyons said.

Brown's record label, MCA, had no comment, and a spokesperson for Houston said the singer also had no comment.

The original case against Brown stems from a 1996 incident in Florida. Brown was arrested after he smashed Houston's Porsche into a signpost. Brown was convicted in 1997 on two misdemeanor counts of drunken driving and causing property damage under the influence.

This latest incident is another in a long line of run-ins Brown has had with the law. In June 1998, Brown was accused of sexual battery in a Beverly Hills hotel, but charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. In 1995, he was arrested for beating a person at Walt Disney World in Florida. Those charges were dropped, too, when his accuser agreed to a settlement.

Last night here on Trinidad's No. 1 radio station, 96.1 WEFM, DJ Paul Richards played Whitney's YGGL and said that he was in a Whitney Houston mood. He began to play SSDC and mentioned that it is her latest single and also that YGGL is the song that started off a superstar career. In the next hour, he played HH and in the last hour he played SAMLFY. He said that that's why she is called the absolute diva. He then said that you can say what you want and you may not like her but you can't deny that she can sing.

Finally, he mentioned that the song was a remake and that when she sings your song, that's the end of your song. It becomes her hit. This morning, on the same station, the same DJ played SSDC and said that it is her latest single off her Greatest Hits CD and mentioned the 4 new songs and stated that they are all great. He sure knows how to put a smile on Whitney fans' faces! (Thanks Carolyn)

The Microsoft Network has linked to the Whitney Weekday Request Campaign! It's the first time a major web portal has linked to a campaign that supports Whitney! They also link to the Jane magazine article though. (Thanks Rachel)

Whitney is No. 1 in the U.K! The Greatest Hits album exceeded expectations and beat Britney Spears' album! Music gurus had predicted that Britney would debut at No. 1 on the chart. Whitney came in at No. 1 with about 90,000 copies sold, beating Britney in the last few hours of the count, who sold 89,000. (Thanks Craig)

Canada's Canoe Network reviews the Greatest Hits...

The show includes stars such as Whitney Houston, Carlos Santana, Aretha Franklin and Barry Manilow. MCY.com was a sponsor of the 25-year celebration. Many other stars are featured including Sarah McLachlan, Annie Lennox, Puff Daddy, Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, Patti Smith, Carly Simon, Kenny G. and Toni Braxton. (Thanks Nadine)

On KISS FM in Los Angeles, they played the remix of "Could I Have This Forever!" The DJ said it was one of her hot new tracks. He said that it has been chosen as a single and we will be able to buy it sometime in June. (Thanks W.)

The US version of the Greatest Hits is now available in Germany. In addition here's an article from the Media Markt magazine Hot Vision. (Thanks Michaela)

On Belgium's Radio Donna, the DJ Sven Ornelis was very enthusiastic about Whitney's duet with George Michael. "If I Told You That" is at No. 43 this week after entering the chart last week at No. 45 in the "Primadonna," a chart compiled from listeners. Keep in mind, the duet is not available in stores yet, so the song will definitely climb the chart in upcoming weeks. (Thanks Eddy VB)

    2000/5/18
From the Global Dance Site: Remixes of "Same Script, Different Cast," Whitney’s duet with Deborah Cox, are being completed for future release, according to Arista. History will be made as Peter Rauhofer, Grammy winner for Remixer of the Year (non-classical), joins forces with Hex Hector for their first collaboration ever! Neither is a stranger to Whitney’s music --Rauhofer remixed "It’s Not Right But It’s Okay" (which helped him win the Grammy) and Greatest Love Of All," while Hector remixed "Heartbreak Hotel," "I Will Always Love You" and, with Mac Quayle, "I Learned From The Best" (all three Hector mixes appear on the Greatest Hits). Additionally, a remix is being completed by Friburn & Urik, one of the underground’s hottest production teams. Their smash "Take Me Love Me (Squeeze Me Baby)" topped the Billboard Club Chart last year, and they also remixed Taylor Dayne’s recent No. 1 hit, "Planet Love." The maxi-single for "Same Script, Different Cast" will also include Tony Moran’s unreleased remix of "You’ll Never Stand Alone," from the My Love Is Your Love album. The impossible-to-get remix has been a favorite with club DJs lucky enough to have a copy! (Thank you Kevin)

On the Charts: The latest on the SSDC and ILFTB singles, plus the MLIYL album...

You can buy the Arista 25th Anniversary special on video by calling (800)NBC-4144. The video will be on sale elsewhere on June 6th. (Thanks Rachel, LeVar)

The "If I Told You That" single with George Michael will be in stores May 26th in Belgium. (Thanks Eddy VB)

On Tuesday's episode of Access Hollywood, they talked about the recent interview Whitney had with OUT Magazine and spoke with the editor, who addressed the old gay rumors surrounding her. The editor said she dispelled all the rumurs and reminded people that she is a wife and mother. He also said that she is not a woman who doesn't use curse words and during the interview her voice and expressions changed. Also on that same night, they interviewed Enrique Iglesias, who said he actually only met Whitney last week in Turkey. He said he can't deny that Whitney is a fabulous woman with a beautiful voice. She is simply a legend. The host also mentioned that they would be recording a video for CIHTKF within the next couple of weeks. (Thanks Carolyn)

In Brazil, the double-CD was released on May 15th, but there is no song promoted at radio. In Brazil, record labels release the album, and if it sells well, they promote it. If it doesn't sell well, they give up. That's what happened with MLIYL. There was no song on the radio until INRBIO was released. WYB and HH were not released. Now radio is playing remixes of ILFTB. The Greatest Hits will probably sell well because Whitney was really huge here in 1990-1994. Also, Fonográfico Magazine gave Whitney's Greatest Hits a 9 out of 10 in its review. (Thanks Mark)

Trinidad radio stations have been playing CIHTKF for a good time now and recently started playing SSDC. OnMusic Radio 97.1 F.M, when they played CIHTKF, the announcer said it is quickly becoming a favorite at the station. (Thanks Carolyn)

SSDC was the No. 2 most requested song today on Miami's Hot 105.1 behind Toni Braxton's "He Wasn't Man Enough." Also, the No. 1 Pop station, Power 96, has played CIHTKF several times today. After each play, they play listener calls saying how much they love it. (Thanks CJ)

    2000/5/17
Congratulations! According to the Recording Industry Association of America web site, Whitney's MLIYL album is now certified four times Platinum in the U.S., signifying 4 million albums! (Thanks Gus)

    Sales and Music Chart Preview:
An early look at tomorrow's Whitney statistics plus a music chart update from France! The ILFTB single experienced a significant U.S. sales boost compared to last week even though it is falling off the charts! The MLIYL album also experienced an increase, albeit a smaller one.

Spain Release Dates: According to BMG-Ariola in Spain, the Greatest Hits VHS and DVD, as well as the single "If I Told You That" will be released on May 22nd. "Whitney: The Unreleased Mixes" will come on May 29th. However, some music stores told me that they may have the video on Friday. The CD arrived to many of them the Friday before the official release date. (Thanks Eduardo)

The lyrics to "Fine" are here!
    (Thank you Larry A.)

This Polish site about Whitney is similar to the recently unveiled official German site, but it is a little different. There is a biography, plus RealAudio and a very easy competition to win the Greatest Hits. There is also an interview with Whitney from the time of "My Love Is Your Love." (Thanks Sylwia)

In France, this site is listed on the sticker of the Greatest Hits. They have a special Whitney Week where you can listen to all the new songs and win the "Unreleased Mixes" vinyl set. (Thanks Julian S.)

It appears that IWALY has been edited on every version of the Greatest Hits CD that has been released, including Taiwan, Europe and Australia so far. I've also noticed it on my U.S. version as well. (Additionally, on the U.S. version, about 10 seconds of "You Give Good Love" has been removed from the end, compared to the original album version.) Taiwan and Europe apparently were unlucky enough to also have ATMTIN edited too. (Thanks Philip, ZuZy, Wes)

"Same Script Different Cast" is at No. 6 on WPGC's web site in Washington, D.C. for their Top 10 jams. Last week it was on their hot new jams list. You can also request the song at their site. Today it was No. 1 on the Phat 4 at 4! Yesterday, it was at No. 2. (Thanks Kyana)

I went to ASDA store today (Hatfield, England) and guess what I found - Whitney's new album is No. 2, behind Britney Spears. It will be interesting to see the official chart list next week. (Thanks Maddy)

Espirit International's online music store has been added to the Greatest Hits store sales page. They list a Japanese import of the new album for sale, plus TONS of other Whitney items!

Check out Shaun's new Whitney Page! Congrats!

Whitney's Greatest Hits album expected to sell well...

Circuit City stores are selling an exclusive version of "Whitney: The Greatest Hits" that includes an extra CD! The box itself is structured differently -- like a standard, large double CD case with a sticker stating that it is a 3-CD set. The rest of the CD package is the same as the US 2-CD set release. The regular double CD set that is available in all other stores comes in a standard single CD case. The exclusive CD contains 2 remixes:
  • Greatest Love Of All (Club 69 Mix) 11:51
  • So Emotional (David Morales Emotional Club Mix) 11:18
    (Thanks IFR, Mkin, Anthony)

The New York Daily News reviews "Whitney: The Greatest Hits."

From Variety: Whitney Houston's appearance helped Arista's 25th anniversary special match NBC's second-best adults 18-49 share in the 9 p.m. hour (11) since October.

Taiwan Gets Special Edition: Whitney Houston's Greatest Hits has been released in Taiwan today. But BMG made a BIG difference -- they use a box usually for 4 discs. In addition to the two dics and the little book you all have, they add another inner little book of 20 pages! Inside, there is a biography, discography, hits on the charts, records and awards, Whitney in the movies, complete lyrics to all songs and over twenty pictures... and it costs just $15 here! This is the Taiwan tracklisting.
However, I find a big drawback -- I'm not sure this drawback is common for all European versions or those made in Taiwan or just my own: They cut short a couple of songs in disc one. For example, the running time for the original IWALY is 4:28, and they cut it to 4:21, which means the last dramatic word "YOU" only appears for one second now! The same thing happens on "All The Man That I Need." (Thanks Philip)
If anyone in Taiwan experienced the same problem with CD, please e-mail the Nippy News so we'll know whether the song editing was just a fluke or not. Thanks!

It's What the Fans Never See: The DVD is well worth the money. I love the behind-the-scenes at the photo shoot. Whitney looked dynamite taking her photos. They played Steve Wonder & Faith Evans while Whitney took the photos and she sang and danced along. At one point during the photo session she said I feel like Mariah -- I'm not really sure what she meant by that but it made me laugh. During the photo session Clive took Whitney and Bobby to the side to listen to two songs that he found for the Greatest Hits CD. One was a song by Rodney Jerkins. Bobby didn't seem to like it -- he said the CD needed to go a different way than the last one. Clive told them to take it and listen to it again. The other song was SSDC. They loved it as soon as they heard it. Run don't walk to pick up your copy of the disc! It's a gem! (Thanks Alan M.)

Don't be surprised if you open your new Greatest Hits DVD to find a free ILFTB CD single included. It's the same single that was sold recently from the MLIYL album.

Whitney's Greatest Hits will be released in New Zealand on June 1st. The stores will start to decorate the displays next week. (Thanks Rommel)

This morning on the CBS Early Show, a reporter had a segment called the Hiblist [not hitlist] and she mentioned that as of today Whitney Houston has a Greatest Hits CD out and also a DVD with her music videos. She also said that Whitney is the only person to make the Hiblist twice. They showed a clip of Whitney singing the "Star Spangled Banner" from the Superbowl, GLOA and INRBIO. The SSB clip was last and the reporter, who was in the studio with Jane, [Bryant Gumbel's co-host] said that she enjoyed looking at it and asked Jane if she could remember when it took place, who replied yes.
Also today on VH1's The Daily One program, they showed clips of Whitney's photo shoot with Dave LaChapelle. They played the video for INRBIO afterward. Lynda Lopez [Jennifer Lopez' sister] said that there is a killer remix of that song on Whitney's Greatest Hits CD available today. MTV news also mentioned that Whitney's Greatest Hits CD hits store shelves today and also mentioned the duets on the disc and the amount of songs. (Thanks Carolyn)

    From Electronic Urban Report:
CLIVE DAVIS SAYS "WHITNEY IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD" Former Arista prez says Whitney Houston has not lost a step. *Y'all know that Clive Davis is the reason why Whitney Houston has a career right? OK, that being said, we ran into him during the taping of the Arista 25th Anniversary Special and asked him how he felt about folks that are saying Whitney has fallen off. "There's no question about her talent. Whitney is the best. You can ask anybody in the industry who is the greatest singer in the world today and they will say it is she." (Ohhh-k, we should have known he would say that.)

DEBORAH COX COMES TO BAT FOR FELLOW DIVA Canadian diva to da rescue. *We also ran into Ms. Deborah Cox and she was presented with the same question, What does she think about the whispers of "falling off" that dog Whitney? Hell, she knows more about being a black female vocalist than Clive does, she's gotta, she is one. "Lots of rumors and lots of fragmented information going around. Not everyone has the full story and I just think that when you're an artist and you're traveling a lot and you're doing a lot of shows you can suffer from exhaustion and be quite overwhelmed with all of the pressures that the industry demands. I think in this case, instead of badgering her and making up stories, we should be supportive of her. Sometimes you suffer from exhaustion. You just have a lot on your plate." Of course we know you've heard about her duet with Whitney. The song is called "Same Script, Different Cast" and it's going to be on Deborah's third album and on Houston's greatest hits album. (Thanks Alan M.)

From Billboard: Also out this week is the hotly anticipated best-of set from Whitney Houston. The double album, "Whitney The Greatest Hits," is released just in time to capitalize on the publicity surrounding the 25th anniversary of her label, Arista, and its newly named chief, L.A. Reid, who replaces founder and industry legend Clive Davis. The collection comprises two discs: "Cool Down," with ballads, and "Throw Down," which features remixes of her faster tracks and uptempo remixes of some ballads. Davis describes the latter disc as "the party to end all parties." The collection also contains four new tracks: "If I Told You That," a duet with George Michael, which will be the first international single; "Could I Have This Kiss Forever," a duet with Enrique Iglesias, which will be the first U.S. single; "Fine" with Q-Tip; and "Same Script, Different Cast" with Deborah Cox.

"Whitney: The Greatest Hits" makes its official debut in the U.K. and other locations in Europe today!

Whitney's new album debuted at No. 8 on the Australian Albums Chart this week! Compared to the "My Love Is Your Love" peak of No. 42, this is great news! (Thanks Wes, Anton M.)

Woolworths (a big U.K. store) predicts Whitney will debut at No. 2 this week, behind Britney Spears, who also released her album this week. I think we'll see Whitney at No. 1 when they get around to releasing the George Michael duet! (Thanks Craig)

The U.K.'s Mail on Sunday newspaper had 5 small advertisements and a full page ad for the new album, video and DVD this weekend. Along with the ads was a review of the new album giving it 3 out of 5. (Thanks Simon)

The Greatest Hits CD has been released in Germany, but the video and DVD won't be in stores before May 22nd. That's also the date when Media Markt might have the U.S. version of the CD. Media Markt has done great promotions for the album and has put it on top of almost every shelf in the whole store in Munich as MTV-Select Tip of the month. They also feature an article about it in the free Media Markt magazine. (Thanks Michaela)

As expected, just in time for the release of the Greatest Hits, BMG Germany started its official Whitney Houston Homepage. There's a lot of information, a biography, music, videos and fans can even win one of 5 signed special "Greatest Hits Singles Boxes" that are very limited. (Thanks Dominik, Daniel, Sylvie, Andre S., Nadine)

"Whitney: The Greatest Hits" has finally been released and it is going to be HUGE! I went to France's FNAC today and they had hundreds of it everywhere in the store, especially at the front door. (This isn't usually where they put CDs.) You couldn't miss it! They have both the European and the U.S. version. The U.S. version is slim and the European version is in a box.
In addition, the MLIYL album is still in the FNAC Top 20 Albums at No. 13 after so many months! The single ILFTB is also doing well since it's at No. 5 on the FNAC's Top 100 Singles and is up to No. 53 from No. 60 on the Top 100 French Singles chart after 3 weeks. (Thanks Julian S.)

"Whitney: The Greatest Hits" was released May 13th in Japan. It had been advertised for release on May 15th but Japan usually releases import albums days earlier. When I entered the record store, Sam Goody's, there was absolutely no advertisement of any kind. At that point I had given up hope that it would be there. Then I saw Britney Spears' CD. A second later I spotted Whitney's CD. There were two versions, a Japanese version and an American one. However, they list the exact same tracks. To make a long story short, even though there was ONLY 1 small poster in Sam Goody's advertising the Greatest Hits, the locals were buying the CD in mass quantities. I picked up one copy and decided to go back for another. I was in the store for less than an hour and I saw at least 15 copies of Whitney's CD being purchased. I saw ONE purchase of "Oops!......I Did It Again." If Whitney doesn't debut higher than Britney is the U.S. I know she will in Japan! (Thanks Reniko)

"Whitney: The Greatest Hits" is sponsoring the most watched program in Spain, "Big Brother" (Gran Hermano), so millions of people in my country are going to see the TV advertisement of the album. (Thanks Laura)

Whitney is featured on a CD called Totally Hits 2.It has been advertised for a few weeks now. The remix for MLIYL is included. Whitney's HH song was also on the first Totally Hits CD.
Additionally, BET has been advertising a video for "It's Black Entertainment," the documemtary which features Whitney, and mentions that it is now available at Blockbuster as of May 2. A clip of Whitney is also shown in the ad. (Thanks Carolyn)

Some Whitney poster sightings: On the Cosby show, Whitney posters can be seen in Vanessa's room, on "The Parenthood" there is one behind Michael's bedroom door, on "Sister Sister" there is one on the wall of their bedroom and on "Moesha" there is one behind her door as well. This is also one behind the man who plays the keyboards on BET's "Live From L.A." Whitney has also been mentioned a number of times on reruns of "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air." (Thanks Carolyn)
