Whitney Houston's second film, "Waiting To Exhale," was released in December 1995. She contributed three songs to the soundtrack, which features the #1 Billboard Hot 100 single "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" as well as the hits "Count On Me" and "Why Does It Hurt So Bad." The critically acclaimed film, starring Whitney and Angela Bassett, went on to gross about $70 million at the box office, earning far more than the film's original budget and laying the groundwork for a multitude of all-Black ensemble films that followed. The soundtrack quickly reached #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and has sold about 10 million copies worldwide.
