Whitney starts with a somewhat whispery singing. She caresses her words and alternates soft and stronger vocals at this point. She then continues with the sensual touch but slightly stronger vocals. In the Chorus she deliver this richer, stronger department of her vocal register. Mariah later comes in with her usual soft and airy vocals which she also alternates with stronger ones. She then sings the chorus but at a higher level. The girls sing the bridge together: Mariah siging the lead while Whitney does a lower harmony. Whitney occasionals belts out "even though in a restrained way". Mariah while singing the lead vocals near the end punches some high notes. All in all the girls performed remarkably. Whitney with her rich, strong clear masterful vocals and Mariah with a softer but nevertheless fairly impressive vocals.
