The Preacher's Wife Soundtrack Reviews

UK Single REMIXES
WHITNEY HOUSTON: Arista
STEP BY STEP

With the release of 'The Preacher's Wife', Whitney has now delivered as many soundtracks as she has regular studio albums - three of each to be precise. The choice of first single in the UK is a complete contrast to the performance ballad weepy the American's are getting. This is a very up beat, in your face pop dance ditty that turns out to be a collaboration with Annie Lennox (who wrote the song). However, in its original/album versions (there's two on the album including a Teddy Riley mix) I have to admit that I found the song immeasurably dull. Fortunately for the single Junior Vasquez, Soul Solution, K-Klass and Jermaine Dupri have injected some life into the cut to make sure it gets hammered everywhere.

(Rating: 8 - with the mixes)
