The Preacher's Wife Soundtrack Reviews
Everyone's entitled to their opinion...
Review by Gary R.
I just wanted to say that I am very upset with Whitney and the CD. I
feel as though I have lost a role model; the reason for this is simple.
Whitney has changed, and her voice has changed also. I can tell when
someone's voice has changed because I am a singer. Whitney's voice, like
Bobby's, has dramatically declined. She still has the intense emotions
and the best, most genuine feelings in her songs, but her "belt" has left
her. The only song that she holds out a note clearly and close to the
way that she did both during and before the Bodyguard is in the song "I
LOVE THE LORD". It is very sad. In 1995(or was it 1994?) I saw her
concert from S. Africa. I hated the concert because she kept doing tricks
with her voice. She wouldn't hold out a note; she kept doing curls!
[... ... ...]
It's been 3 years, and i don't
think that she will ever be the same.
He's changed his mind!
Subject: you can cancel my review
Hi! I just wanted to write to say that I would like you to dismiss my
thoughts about the album. I have listened to the CD more, and I am liking
everything that I hear. I don't want to discourage anybody from getting
the CD. Thank you.

Whitney said that her voice dropped a couple of octaves when she was
pregnant with Bobbi Kristina and it didn't come back after she was born.
My voice teacher once told me that this does in fact happen with
certain women sometimes. That's why you don't see many opera divas getting
pregnant at all becasue of they fear their voice may suffer. They don't
want to take that chance. Anita Baker said once that during and after her
first pregnancy... she completely lost her voice but with her second it
came back stronger than ever. Each pregnancy is different.
I STILL
LOVE WHITNEY, THOUGH! PEACE,
JAY
