It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
Love the piano intro. Didn't hit me immediately but now I love it. Of all the 'harder' songs on this album, I think this track is the best showcase for WH's incredible voice. My 11 month old daughter dances to this one
Heartbreak Hotel:
Not overly enamoured of this. Although its already a hit, WH's voice is almost overshadowed by her co-singers
When You Believe:
Don't like this, It puts me to sleep
If I Told You That:
I like this. it was the most immediate track on first play. My only disappointment is that it is almost 'The Boy Is Mine' part two
In My Business:
I can't stand this
I Learned From The Best:
Great. lovely track. Love the extended note at the end.
Oh Yes:
Promises to deliver alot in the first few opening bars and then degenerates into nothingness. What is the point of this track
Get It Back:
Din't like the stuttering beats at first. not a typical WH song . However, I love the Timabalands drum beats at theend of the song. Instrumental version of this would be great
I Bow Out:
Another favourite. Whitney's voice is very strong on this one
You'll Never Stand Alone:
In my opinion, this is the best song on the album. Lush and orchestrated. typical WH. Very smooth and mellow. Whitney goes through every emotion on this. Very convincing
Overall impressions on MLIYL:
Not the best album she's ever done, but better than average. She is trying to be everything to everyone with this album. While there is growth, I don't think she has necessarily gained any new fans
