It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
Not my kind of song
Heartbreak Hotel:
very R&B.. like it..love to see it's doing great in the Hot 100
My Love Is Your Love:
now that's whitney I like.. it's a gospel to my ears.. mind you, I'm not not a Christian but still love the song.. I give it a 5*
When You Believe:
sounds very disney..though it's dreamwork's.. to my ears, her voice dominates the song(like it or not, it's a fact to my ears..), sounds so pure and almost flawless (wait..I take back the word 'almost') and shows quite a true range and versatility.
If I Told You That:
naughty girl.. like it esp when she sayss 'a ha..', very catchy
In My Business:
very naughty-sounding..and a great performance.. try to follow her when she says 'ooo..ooo.oooo..ooo h baby' towards the end of the song
I Learned From The Best:
good song
Oh Yes:
not my type.. but i won't be surprised if it's a big hit for R&B fans..
Get It Back:
okay
Until You Come Back:
sounds so 'loyal', like what the songs is all about..
I Bow Out:
Another 5*... period.. you have to live it!!!
You'll Never Stand Alone:
classic whitney.. still at her best.. and it's the best in the album..well what's above 5* (sorry don't have anything above that...:)
I Was Made To Love Him:
this is probably why she's probably called a prima diva.. not many can do that song that way..
Overall impressions on MLIYL:
It's good to see Whitney is wooing new fans of the R&B/hip-hop music genre who are probably the most influential in the current chart performance. This album is to me almost similar to the 'I'm Your Baby Tonight' album which has the attraction that the more you listen to it, the more you like it. This album can also be a disappointment to those classic Whitney lovers but they should be satisfied with her few classic-whitney-classified songs available which were sung so lovely. As usual, whitney again shows her voice's talent (wow.. nowadays even a voice can have talents) in the sense of its versatility and capability. A potential grammy nominee in the R&B category. Taking everything into account, I give it a 4 - 5 out of 5.
