It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
This song would be the worst song on the album if Heartbreak Hotel wasn't so boring. Whitney singing about Caller ID and "you and your boys"?? Come on!
Heartbreak Hotel:
Snooooooooze. It's going to be a hit because monotonous, light R&B that doesn't go anywhere is in (Brandy)
My Love Is Your Love:
Simple but very good. Definately 'clef. The first good song on the album.
When You Believe:
It's inspiring and very good now, but it won't hold up as a great colaboration in the future.
If I Told You That:
The first catchy song, good lyrics, good beat
In My Business:
This could have done with out Missy's rap about hoes. This seemed like a different but welcome song for Nippy since its fits what goes on in her life.
I Learned From The Best:
This is classic whitney, very good, not great
Oh Yes:
6 minutes??? should've ended after 2 and a half!!
Get It Back:
Whitney pulls off the hip hop thing in this one. Tight.
Until You Come Back:
Classic Whitney. Great! Don't think it would climb the charts. Classic Whitney isn't in right now.
I Bow Out:
Another great one, speaking of Bobby, no i'm sure. Was Babyface trying to give her a clue?
You'll Never Stand Alone:
good song.
I Was Made To Love Him:
Great upbeat bonus! Lauryn and Whitney add to this Stevie Wonder song very well! Anything L Boogie is good.
Overall impressions on MLIYL:
Overall, this was an above average R&B album. I got used to the not so good ones after a few listenings. I don't usually think of Whitney as being really hip, but she doesn't need to be. She is Whitney. She held on to that limb. This was a tight cd....B
