Whitney is the Bomb!

Posted by Eddie Blackwell on February 16, 1999:

It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
I did not like this single when I first heard in on the radio. I was quite dissapointed. However, I've learned to appreciate the single and it has become one of my favorites from the album. I guess I can personally relate to the lyrics. Shout outs to Ms. Houston.

Heartbreak Hotel:
I think this song is okay! It's kind of corney. However, I think Faith Evans and Kellye Price does justice to this single.

My Love Is Your Love:
Nothing to really brag about.

When You Believe:
Whitney and Mariah sound beautiful together.

If I Told You That:
I think this single has a nice beat.

In My Business:
Not that impressed.

I Learned From The Best:
I think this songs represents classic Whitney. This is the sound that I like.

Oh Yes:
Not that impressed.

Get It Back:
Nice beat and lyrics.

Until You Come Back:
This is my favorite song from the CD. I love Whitney's cool vocals on this track. I love Whitney when she is singing slow jams. I wish there were more selections of this type on the album.

I Bow Out:
Classic Whitney. Nice beats and lyrics.

You'll Never Stand Alone:
This is my second best single on the album. Classic Whitney at Her best.

I Was Made To Love Him:
It's okay.

Overall impressions on MLIYL:
Overall, I must say that at first I was a bit dissapointed with the album. I had to listen to it on numerous occassions before I could appreciate it. This was not the case on prior Whitney Projects. I wish the album had more adult comtemporary type of tunes that best capture Whitney's voice.
