What Happened?

Overall impressions on MLIYL:
I have always been a Diehard fan of Whitney Houston, but have to wonder what happened. I think in her quest to cater to a different crowd, she is disapointing a larger portion of fans that liked her old style. Look at "I'm Your Baby Tonight"'s sales vs. her first albulms. Then her return to more mainstream music brought a resurgence in the sales with "The Bodyguard" & "Waiting To Exhale". Even "The Preacher's Wife" although having a gospel base, still showcased her amazing abilities. I do not blame anyone for trying to expand their range of music, but I think this one stretched it too far. I think albulm sales will refect that in the long run, in comparison to her other work. I just thank goodness for the few songs on the new CD that reflect her more traditional format. "You'll Never Stand Alone", "The Prince Of Egypt", and the title track, "MLIYL". But as any Diehard fan would do...I will anxiously await her next piece of work.
