It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
This one is pretty good. She does a good job singing this track, however I don't think it was radio ready. B-
Heartbreak Hotel:
This is excellent. We could have been given a little more vocally at the end. This will do well on the charts. A-
My Love Is Your Love:
Excellent title track, she should have released this instead of track #1. I like the beat, and the words of the song. Cute. A
When You Believe:
It's OK, but I expected more from both divas, why did it seem like mariah was holding back a little? Good song but could have been sung better. B
If I Told You That:
Didn't like it. Hopefully she wont release this. Despite the terribleness of the song she does the best she can with it vocally. C-
In My Business:
Ok Whitney got a little too carried away with this "new style". The song isn't that bad, but WH shouldn't be singing it. This is for someone who can't sing but nevertheless is a recording artist, like Mary J. Blige, Mocha, WH, do yourself a favor and don't release this one..... C
I Learned From The Best:
Pretty good. A-
Oh Yes:
This is a good slow jam to get you in the mood. I was actullay impressed by Missy's writing skills, not radio ready ready though. A-
Get It Back:
Terrible. I'll take Missy any day over this. They should have cut this from the album. Another one of those songs any ole' body can sing. If this is released, this will be her ultimate downfall. F
Until You Come Back:
Classic Whitney, but with a little less power. However this could be the one that could reclaim her throne at the top of the charts. A-
I Bow Out:
Alright not one of my favorites, but its OK. B-
You'll Never Stand Alone:
Touching, this would do well on the charts too. This is also classic WH. A
I Was Made To Love Him:
Very good. I love the LH and WH collaboration. This shows tha she can sing hip hop, and sound better than the average jill's out there. Only problem it seems as if it has gaps in it. ALL around very good. A
Overall impressions on MLIYL:
B-, I expected a little better from Whitney. I can understand her wanting to change her style a little to fit the times, but she got kind of carried away. # tracks the album could do without is IITYT, IMB, and GIB. For the next album maybe she can acheive a healthier mix of hip hop and R&B.
